Marissa and the staff at Something Bleu made this experience so fun, and so exciting. The boutique itself is set up to feel very intimate; each bride has their own space and room with their guests. There was never a walk to the mirror with other guests in the store âoooingâ or gazing.
For my personal experience, I had fallen in love with a dress I saw online from Madi Lane, and could not find it in any bridal boutique across the state to try on. Prior to my appointment at Something Bleu, a different boutique told me to find something âas close as possible to what I sawâ. At something Bleu, Marissa tried to get the dress to the store and even though we couldnât (the dress was going to be discontinued by the designer) Marissa had me try on one dress that had a similar skirt to what I had fallen in love with, and a different dress with a similar top to the one I had fallen in love with. I ultimately bought blind that same day and felt very confident doing so!
âŠI did have a small panic two weeks later about the underlay color I ordered and again Marissa had me come into the boutique and try on two underlays in different colors. She worked with me personally and I felt confident leaving with my original color choice! When my dress came in, and my mom and I went to try it on, the entire staff was just as giddy and excited as we were! I totally had âa bridal momentâ when I came out and saw my mom in MY dress.
We tried on veils, shoes, and accessories and the entire time the staff was beyond pleasant, giddy, and excited. They took their time and let us stay as long as we wanted. It was the best experience I have had wedding planning this far!
Thank you to Marissa and her team for being the best at...
Read moreI went here with my best friend last week for her first time trying on wedding dresses. Planning a wedding is stressful, getting a dress should be the fun part. Our appointment was early in the afternoon, there was noone in this place to be seen anywhere. The girl who was hosting our appointment directed us to a dressing room without even looking at the dresses. Confused at first she said she would be picking the dresses "what?" We allowed her to waste over an hour of our time picking things that clearly were not for my friend. The host told my friend she would dress her, my friend was so uncomfortable and insisted she allow her to dress herself if I couldn't help. I couldn't take it anymore and politely asked if my friend could pick things out she liked.I couldn't believe my ears....the women said the reason we couldn't look at the dresses was because she didn't want us to gravitate towards a dress that cost 10,000. Little did this woman know my friend could have bought the entire building. Finally my friend was allowed to pick only 2 or 3 dresses and we started having some luck. However she hurried us because there was another appointment coming. As we left we still didn't see a sole in there. Had they allowed my friend to pick things she wanted maybe she would have made a sale. I only recommend this place if you don't want to pick your own dress and want your experience based on what the establishment seems to think you can afford. I'm really sorry this my friends first experience better luck somewhere else I'm sure! Part of the joy in finding a wedding dress is...
Read moreI had the absolute BEST dress shopping experience at Something Bleu! I had gone to one other store before something Bleu and found some dresses that all had parts that I loved but was hoping to find something that combined all these parts. When I told my consultant Taylor, she knew exactly which dress to pull and that was my dress! They had such a beautiful and varied range of dresses so I decided to try on several others but we both knew she had nailed it with the first pick. Not only did she help me find the dress, she helped me customize the dress to truly make it my dream dress. We added 2ft to the train, found the perfect removable sleeve and Taylor stopped at no end to find a seamstress who would embroider my new last name on the bow of the dress in blue as my "something blue".
The great experience didn't stop there, when I went for my first fitting I realized because of the extended train my dress was going to be too heavy to wear all evening so I was able to shop the sample sale where Taylor helped me find the most perfect reception dress that made me feel incredible!
Their seamstress Irena is also incredibly talented as well! I was an international bride so I had a very tight timeline to have both dresses altered but Irena worked her magic and altered both dresses to perfection in just a few weeks!
Something Bleu has a truly exceptional team who will go above and beyond to help bring your bridal...
