I have been a loyal AT&T customer since the company was known as Cingular. Pretty much havenât had a problem with them. Today, 05/15/2021, at the Destiny USA location, I purchased a brand new Samsung phone for my daughter. I asked for the full price of the phone in order to purchase it outright. I left my daughter with my credit card to run to the mallâs facilities down the hall. When I came back, she was done, standing outside the store. I looked at my receipt to see how much I was charged. I was only charged the low âfirst timeâ phone price. When I turned to go back to the store to pay the rest, I was met by the long sleeve, blue shirt female (manager(?)) that saw the entire transaction that took place with a regular floor worker. She met us at the door and asked how she could help. I stated that I wasnât charged the full price of the phone. She proceeded to say that âwe donât charge the full price in the store. You will have to wait for a month after a full billing cycle has gone through. Call customer service and someone should be able to help thenâ. This struck me as being wrong as she was saying it. I left and proceeded to dial *611. The remaining balance of the phone was paid off in less than 7 minutes after leaving. The customer service representative stated that she did not know why the store was unable to help me because the stores have the same exact computer as she did. In my opinion, it is because of shoddy service like this that is going to be the downfall of brick and mortar stores. Cut out the middle man and just purchase directly off the web.    Read moreBoth my husband and I purchased new phones on the evening of 6/28/23. My phone would no longer take a charge, so in order to transfer the info over to the new phone it had to be done wirelessly in the store. My husband's info transferred over quickly, mine was taking longer due to a large picture storage. While my phone was still in the process of transferring data, the gentlemen who had just made a significant sale started shutting the lights off, he stated they were closing. I told him my phone was at 30% and I was concerned that it would run out of power, before the data transferred to the new phone and that I would have no way to power up as the charging port was shot, (he was the one who told me that!) He assured me that there was plenty of charge left. He would place the new phone next to the old phone in the bag, send us on our way and that the data would continue to transfer on its own. I shared that I did not feel good about this. Mind you, I am not tech savvy. I have always relied on a tech to make sure that everything was all set. But off we went. As soon as we stepped into the mall, the phone stopped its update, because there was no wireless! Meanwhile, my phone is running out of power.    Read moreI came in here with my boyfriend as he was having some issues about his service while he is out of the country. (Which he goes every 3-6 weeks) so this was resulting in massive bills even though he had set up a set price for all text talk, etc . Well something wasn't right and he had a $3000 bill - yikes! We had excellent help here. Everything was explained in terms us old folks can understand, lol. The girl who helped us was Chenae, she was so sweet and helpful and knew her s#^t. We never felt rushed or pressured into buying new phones or high tech watch phones that are out now,( and makes me feel like a technological dinosaur to be honest lol) she resolved the bill, his plan, gave him copies of any details, answered all our questions, and we had been thinking about getting smart tv service since my man decided to come home with the largest TV that would fit in our car one day, lol. She explained our options, we chose one, and the cool thing is the TV service could be used on our phones without using up our data! She set it up on my bf phone for him, and then asked if I wanted it on my phone too. I told her sheepishly, I am under contract with Verizon so I don't think I can.
