Just when you think there's no need to check a takeout order, you're reminded that your hunches aren't always right. As this location was in its closing-for-the-day phase, I stood near the takeout area to wait for my food. One employee was scooping a cup into a large soup container and then pouring the contents into his mouth. Another employee was speaking of the easy dinner she'd have at home as she gathered leftover food and bagged that for what seemed to be for herself. The third employee was quickly throwing my order together and preparing it for me. Although I couldn't see everything she did, I assumed she was fulfilling my order. I spent a hard-earned $20 to enjoy food during a long bus ride. Imagine my disappointment when I discovered that I was only given a half of the whole sandwich I ordered, only a half of a tiny container of Caesar dressing, and 2 or 3 salad croutons that tasted as if they were a week old. In the future, I plan to return to my past habit of budgeting 5 extra minutes of my personal time in order to check the accuracy of my purchase. It's a shame one...
Read moreWe were Christmas shopping at Destiny and of ALL the places we could have eaten lunch at, we chose Panera. I ordered a Value Special lunch, sandwich and Tomato Soup. Well, they didn't have the soup "ready" yet, so they said sorry...we can't fulfill that order??!! HUH??? A manager walked by and said..sorry..soup not ready yet!!?? Ok??? So give me another soup! Oohh nooo..its not their "policy" to sub anything. What??!! The MANAGER would not budge on this..which is positively ridiculous in my opinion. So needless to say..we walked out. I will spend my money elsewhere. Never have I ever been turned away because THEY had a "supply" problem. But he did tell me I could come back later when it was "up to temperature". LOL no thank you. Shame on you Panera AND the Manager..your technique and policies need revamping. I am left with a BAD taste in my mouth...

When it came time to get my food I realized I didn’t get my bread bowl so I went back to the counter. When I, very nicely, requested the bowl, it was slid across the dirty counter to me unwrapped. I refused the bowl stating that I had an allergy and went back to my table where I then noticed that my entire order was wrong. I took it back where they switched it to what was supposed to be mine and even in that bag was the complete wrong sandwich for my child. Coming from someone who has literally done this job and managed people doing this job, I have never seen such a lack of quality control. The only thing they did right was give me a refund. Do...
