From the first phone call that I had with Paul Gramer throughout the experience of planning and conducting my Mother's funeral, I found Paul and his staff to be top notch. We had used another area funeral home for many family members in the past. I had checked with that funeral home and found that this was not what I was looking for...After talking to Paul, I knew I had found the right place and people to conduct the funeral for our Mom. Throughout the process, Paul was available, helpful, caring and demonstrated his expertise and care for our family very sincerely and professionally. His concern, his warmth and his willingness to work with us in any way we needed was over the top. The staff that we worked with, Monica and Susan particularly, further exemplified the caring and compassion the permeated the entire atmosphere surrounding our experience with Gramer Funeral Home in Clawson. The expense of a funeral is always a concern at a time that is emotion-filled at least. Paul presented us with options, prices were inclusive of what some places treat as "extra's" and charge more to have or do. The presentation on the caskets available, vaults, etc. were thorough, with many choices available. He is upfront on the costs, does not to try to "sell" you on something you might not want and, at the end of the process, there are no hidden or sudden costs added. Paul or his Staff, follow up on details and arrangements, to make sure all is correct and the way you would like it to be.. All in all, you can be sure that the remains of your loved one have been treated with respect and professionally cared for. Gramer's Funeral Home is like a visit to the parlor of a home, perfect for our Mom who came from a small town and probably attended many funerals of relatives in the "parlors" of their homes.
