Prepare your taste buds for an unforgettable culinary journey at Biscuits & Gravy! This hidden gem is my new favorite place, and it's not hard to see why. The food here is simply amazing and bursting with flavors that will leave you craving for more. I must begin by raving about the Lemon Pancakes – they are an absolute delight! The tangy sweetness perfectly balances with the fluffy texture, making each bite a burst of sunshine on your palate. And if you're a fan of savory delights, the Monte Cristo is a must-try – the layers of ham, turkey, and melted cheese sandwiched between French toast are simply divine. But the indulgence doesn't stop there. The Chicken and Waffle, Crabcake, Classic Breakfast, Cinnamon Swirl Pancakes, and Western Omelette are all equally mouthwatering and will leave you spoilt for choice. Every dish is prepared with love and precision, showcasing the skill and dedication of the talented chefs. Now let's talk about the grits – they are simply out of this world! The best grits I've ever had in my life, hands down. Each spoonful is like a comforting hug from my dear grandparents, reminding me of the simple joys in life. The ambiance. When construction began, I was a little nervous about the iconic rooster on the roof. However, my worries were put to rest when I saw it proudly sporting a fresh new paint job. It's a small detail, but it holds sentimental value, and I'm sure my grandfather would be impressed to see it so well-preserved. Biscuits & Gravy holds a special place in my heart, as it used to be my grandfather's favorite place back in the day. I'm delighted that it has now reopened under a new name, all while keeping the cherished nostalgia intact. And is now, my new favorite! For my family, who has lived down the street from this restaurant for over a hundred years, this establishment has been a cherished part of our lives for a long time, and we couldn't be more grateful for its enduring charm. Thank you, Biscuits & Gravy, for serving up incredible food that delights the senses and for creating an ambiance that feels like a warm embrace. Your dedication to preserving the past while embracing the future is truly commendable. If you're seeking an amazingly wonderful dining experience filled with delicious flavors and heartfelt nostalgia, look no further than Biscuits & Gravy – it's an absolute must-visit!

First visit here, as I live 90 minutes away. The parking is a major problem, but I understand why. The service is fantastic. The atmosphere is clean and bright. The food is excellent. The menu holds many upscale surprises. My wife had lox Benedict, my daughter the tiramisu pancakes. She shared with me, and they seemed a little heavy, but they also had a homemade feel. I did see another table sharing an order. The coffee syrup and ladyfingers just make it. I had to have biscuits and gravy. My other reviews have covered my southern background, and I'm still seeking biscuits and gravy like my grandmother's. The biscuits, obviously freshly made, melted in my mouth, and the gravy was better than most other restaurants I've been to. The scrambled egg, the simplest thing, was worth the 90 minute drive. The cheesy grits were fresh. No sign of lumps or standing around under a lamp. The sausage patties, obviously not manufactured on-site, had a good seasoning and were perfectly browned. Whatever brand of coffee they serve needs an advertisement. Correctly brewed and served at a perfect drinking temperature. The only way to improve this restaurant is by expansion (small place).

Been wanting to check this place out. Wait was a reasonable 15 minutes at 10:30 on a Saturday. Parking was *tight*. We lucked out on a spot but it could be a turn off. Staff was very friendly and helpful. My husband ordered the original Benedict with potatoes and I had the Lox Benedict with grits. We shared a side of a biscuit and gravy. The biscuit was not like any biscuit I'm used to but it was delicious- huge, VERY soft, fluffy, good flavor. The gravy was okay. My husband liked his choice. The potatoes were tasty - seemed like pre-frozen though maybe? The lox Benny was beautiful but left me wanting. There was hardly any lox on it, but the tomatoes were sliced very thick - maybe to make it look like more lox? I like to sink my teeth into the salmon, but I could barely taste it. The hollandaise was fine. The poached eggs were overcooked and not runny. Would have loved fresh squeezed orange juice but they don't have that here. The grits needed salt and pepper. If I come back, I think I'll try a sandwich instead. 🤷‍♀️

We tried twice before to visit the Clawson location on the weekend. Too busy, hard place to park. (Figured must have awesome food!) So we happen to have a day off together during the middle of the week, being that we would be in Clawson - we decided this would be our chance to check this place out. At first, I thought, should get the biscuits and gravy - just because I would assume by the name this would be their specialty. But not being much of a sausage gravy person, I decided to get the Chicken and Waffle. My friend go the Loaded Potato Pancakes. (I wish I took a picture to add here.) So my waffle was "gooey". :( I should have been cooked longer. Any more gooey, it would be batter form. And the chicken didn't look appetizing, look like it was from a frozen box. But the chicken tasted ok. Something I wouldn't order again. My friend asked me about potato pancakes. We even looked them up. So we thought we were getting authentic (made from scratch) potato pancakes. omg... they looked like round-shaped tater tots. With a little (very oily) onions, bacon, and cheese on top. It was not "loaded". Barely a little just on the top of 2 layer deep dish (so just plain on the bottom - which were the greasy ones). And where we sat, we had blowers on us. The food was cold in a matter of minutes. (When we got our bill at the end, the bill must blew 3 times off the table.) Ok, we were totally bummed in what we got. And everybody's food around us looked appetizing as well. Wonder how it tasted overall. The service was good, and though a small place, felt very clean. We were all excited and got disappointed. Agreed we wouldn't try this place again; unless friends had wanted to meet up there and try another shot at something else. Our bubble was burst on...

Great atmosphere, great food and convenient location. As of today 3/25/2024 I’d never eat at this establishment again. First off, customers that patronize restaurants and businesses keep the establishments in business. I’ve been here for about five months straight ordering the chicken salad sub salmon and called today to place an order with “Christine” who’s very rude. I called to place an order while driving to order my normal and had a few questions. This rude customer service rep said check the menu and then call back, I then asked for a manager and she hung up on me. I immediately called back and no answer so I drove to the location to speak with the manager who is her brother and took up for her. I’ll miss the salads but I’ll never return again and all of the customers I recommended by word of mouth this is how they really treat customers? My simple question was asking Christine how was the salad $14.00 last week with substitution this week $20 she said the menu prices changed over the weekend and it’s the same damn menu I’ve ordered from for months.

I’d say go elsewhere their food is good but customer service is horrible. All of the money spent supporting this place and this is the treatment they offer asking questions regarding an increased price from last week to this week over the phone. Then arrived at the restaurant still no apology but basically telling me I’m lying and pointing to the menu. I mean the food is good but this pricing at this Coney Island isn’t worth being...
