Cameron was absolutely amazing. If you want a fun fishing experience with a funny, knowledgeable, dedicated Captain, this is the place for you. He was prepared with lots of bait fish when we arrived. He was conversational and knowledgeable as we headed out. While fishing for sheephead he helped cast in the best spots, gave good tips, and continually baited our hooks. And the sheep head, we fished for multiple types of fish in lots of spots. Slack tide caused some rough fishing but Cameron was a dedicated Captain and kept us out longer than he needed so we could catch some more. He just kept trying new strategies when we weren't catching and kept a positive outlook. The tide turned and we had some great fishing for the last leg of the trip with some big fish! His excitement when we caught a 34 inch snook was infectious and the catch made the trip. He also fished and when he had a fish he let us pull it in, including the 34 incher....

We had an incredible trip with Cap’n Jake from Coastal Chaos Fishing Charters! From start to finish, he made the experience smooth, exciting, and downright fun. He put us right on the speckled trout—tons of them—and my wife landed a monster 23” trout that we’ll be talking about for years.

But the action didn’t stop there—we caught four other species too: bonnet shark, mackerel, ladyfish, and even a catfish. Cap’n Jake’s knowledge of the area and ability to find fish was top-tier. He was super easy to talk to and absolutely fantastic with the boys, keeping them engaged and teaching them along the way.

Why have you not called Captain Jake yet? Brought my family with 3 boys from Minnesota, hoping for a unique and fun fishing experience. Captain Jake completely exceeded our expectations! He was extremely informative about fishing this region, took time to work with the boys one on one, and answered all my nerdy questions about fishing and general information about the area. My boys had an absolute blast, and we are already talking about coming back next year. We caught a LOT of fish, which tasted amazing with Captain Jake’s cooking recommendation. Our only complaint is that we only booked for 4 hours (it went so fast, and you should book longer!) Do yourself a favor by calling them in advance to book a fishing trip you will never forget.
