Enchanted Inn & Beachside Cottages — Hotel in Clearwater

We stayed here for 5 days, a much needed getaway from being cooped up for over a year, due to the Covid-19 restrictions of not going anywhere! From the time we booked our stay until the time we checked out, Matt was an excellent host! He saw to anything we might need for our stay; we stayed in the King Suite, #1, which was ideal - no steps and had the pool right outside our patio, and fishing dock, on the bay side, proved to be a favorite spot in the evening for some fishing. Mornings were special, as we sat out on patio, drinking coffee watching the sun rise. ||The accommodations were some of the best we have seen in a long time -- the kitchen was stocked with everything imaginable, paper supplies, cooking utensils, plates, glassware, salt/pepper, and the list goes on!!!! Never have I seen such a well stocked "kitchen". Had full size refrigerator, too. Beach bags, beach towels, magazines, books, ample towels! Room was clean and did not smell musty, as some reviews have said. The king bed was very comfortable as was the pillows!! That is a "PLUS" because in some "name brand" hotels/inns they are not comfortable, but this bed and pillows were really comfortable. We slept very well. ||Parking was convenient, and few blocks away there is convenience store, and beach. Add a few more blocks, and you were in the middle of restaurants, gift shops, boutiques. The best feature of the island was the "Free" Ride services that will take you anywhere you want to go, on the island. All we had to pay was a tip. They are pretty prompt, and nice drivers. Parking is at a "premium" and some lots charge to park, so the free rides is the best way to go anywhere if you don't want to walk. We loved this place, and will come back!! We stayed the weekend of St. Patrick’s Day 2024 to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday. I didn’t know until after I booked that it was Spring Break but it did not affect us at The Enchanted Inn! Our room was very tastefully decorated and I loved the decor. Everything we could possibly need was there…comfortable bed, nice shower, stocked kitchenette, refrigerator, private patio, pool, plenty of outdoor seating, and more. The little touches like towels folded like swans and tissue folded like roses, having beach chairs, beach bag, beach towels, the binder with recommendations of things to see and do, etc. made a “wow” factor. My husband did some catch & release fishing from the dock and caught fish. He spotted dolphins very close by one morning! One of the things that really attracted us was the size. There were 7 units, thus we were not surrounded by tons of people and it made the getaway more enjoyable. We could walk to the beach and restaurant and it was nice not to have to fight traffic.|We want to go back. The only thing that I will do differently is that I will take my own bar soap for the shower. They had several tiny bars of soap, so we had more than we could use, but I wanted something larger and nicer quality.|The one thing that we would change if we could is that we stayed on the first floor and our neighbors above us were not very courteous and made a lot of noise. We are big fans of Clearwater Beach and have stayed in Clearwater every time we go to Florida. So our family has had many different experiences to compare. Enchanted Inn, was a great, comfortable, safe, clean, cozy and beautiful place. The rooms are nice and big, Bed is top notch comfortable (we are very pick as far as mattress). Full size kitchen with everything you need to cook in it. You have a beautiful view when you wake up, being on a canal with the boat docks. You are maybe 100 yards, 3 minutes walk from the beach. 10 minutes walk from PIER 60 and all kinds of stores and restaurants and the Marina and all entertainment the beach has to offer. If you don’t want to pay the huge amounts of money for an ocean view somewhere else this place is without a doubt the very next best thing!!!! And did I mention LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!!! They also worked with us on a late check out because our flight out of Tampa was so late in the day, they were very generous letting us stay late free of charge.
