At first walk in to the bar it smelled like a wet dog, like something had been wet then dried up. Wasn’t too busy. Sat down and had a pineapple margarita it was really good. Music choice is okay if you like old rock music… they have a touch tunes you can pay for which I did and my songs didn’t get played.. so after drinking my margarita I had to use the bathroom. When I got in the bathroom it was small, I stepped into the stall and there was a huge puddle of something on the floor in front of the toilet. I was disgusted and did not use the bathroom I went back and told the bartender. Who was a thin white women with birds tattooed on her back. She said “Oh yeah the toilet is broken so when you flush it water runs out the back. There’s nothing we can do about it I can get you a mop.” Like excuse me? She wanted me to go in there and mop up the disgusting toilet water? No mam. No too bad service. Also they had no wet floor sign anybody could fall on that wet floor wearing high heels.

A few of the locals recommended this place as a "must" to visit while staying in Clearwater Beach. My boyfriend and I were vacationing last week and decided to try it out and we were so glad we did! Jeff was an awesome bartender, as well as Charity. Both made you feel like you were regulars and remembered us on our second time in and had our drinks ready! We went late at night, music was blaring and people were having a great time. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is because you can smoke in there, but other than that, so much fun!!!

10/10! The best bar I’ve been to in Florida and possibly the best bar I’ve been to in my life! The drinks are very well made, decorative, delicious, and well priced! We weren’t sure about this place when we walked in but the bartender Jeff made us feel right at home and was AMAZING! He was so good we went to see him again the next day! He was always right on queue when our glasses were low and kept everyone’s spirits high. Highly recommend you check this place out, and tell them that Stheven sent you 😉.

Went here Halloween night, there was a tall bartender with grey hair and glasses (was told by other guests, his name was Jeff). All we had was Apple Pay when asked to start a tab. We let him know that we could pay as we go or if he wanted just our names. It was loud (I’m a combat vet, so my hearing is gone), I tried to let him know I couldn’t hear but he just kept talking over me. We could tell he was in the weeds (busy and not organized, behind on his orders). We let him know it was cool, we would do whatever he wanted and we were willing to wait, as my friends and I are bar owners ( we totally understand the industry and how hard a Halloween night can be). He looked confused about Apple Pay. I handed him my phone, he took it to his POS system. We saw him flipping the phone over repeatedly over the terminal (clear indication he didn’t know his system nor Apple Pay). We walked down the other end of the bar to see if we could help. He was very agitated, I told him we were in the bar business and he screamed “you said that 3 times already”. I asked him if he was ok? And he walked away. He came back and said “ don’t worry about it, “I’m taking care of your drinks so I don’t have to hear you complain”. The two guys that were sitting by the POS terminal looked at us and said “wow, that guy is crazy”. Shipwreck is a really cool laid back bar, but this guy “Jeff” or whoever he is, was either having a really bad night or needs to rethink his industry choice. I’ve had some wild experiences before, dealt with various personalities and generational culture, but this was wild for a Clearwater bar from an older gentlemen. Contemplated writing this, but as an owner of multiple bars, I would want to know if an employee was running...

My fiance and I were visiting Clearwater Beach with another couple, and someone recommended we check this place out as we were looking for a chill bar. As a travel agent, I was researching places to recommend to my clients, and I was pretty glad to have found this place at first, but after my experience, I will recommend my clients avoid the place.

The bartender (Vito maybe?) was extremely rude to my fiance BOTH times we visited. He asked him for a drink while he was down at our end of the bar and he acted like this was the rudest thing that had ever happened to him. He very sarcastically said he had other drink orders, and we accepted this and apologized. However, he kept going on and on about how rude it was for him to ask for a drink and that he was so overwhelmed and busy and couldn't we see that? (There were maybe 15 people in the bar; clearly, the dude wouldn't be able to handle the crowds of a popular place in Clearwater Beach). Eventually, I was so uncomfortable that I asked to close out, and we left.

We went back the next night, thinking it was maybe a fluke; however, we got the same bad attitude that night as well. Plus, a lecture on how this bartender refused to wear a mask when it was state-mandated. He tried to pull some bs story about how it made him cough. What a baby.

The only reason for the additional star is the woman bartender, Charity, who also seems like the manager/owner. If it were just her, we would have stayed all night and spent hundreds, I'm sure. But it is what it is, I guess. I...

Worst place we ever ate at, waitress never came and introduced herself or gave her name, first we waited 20 minutes for a liquor drink she tryed to blame bartender and she was texting on her phone, never got silverware or plates, until she brought the appetizers and we had to ask 10 minutes after for plates, napkins, and silverware, and 20 minutes later we got them from amother waitress, then she took 20 minutes to even refill sodas, brought a children's drink in a regular cup, duh, she was a child, then when she brought our entrees out, she dropped our potatoes and blamed her bus person and didnt give us steak knifes and we waited 20 minutes for steak knifes and got replacement potatoes that were microwaved and still raw and served with no butter or sour cream , then we went to talk to manager and she ran in and but in and yelled , Wow like a little teenager on her phone, manager seemed liked he didn't care at all, kept saying what else can we do, we'll maybe first hire and adult waitress who is off her phone and not saying Wow, Omg, and maybe actually says her name because she will do her job, and also they add extra charges, waitress didn't do her job that is why she does not give her name all her coworkers did her job, and food sucks, maybe hire a real waitress not a child who does not scream at customers and interrupt when she was not involved in conversation. Worst restuarant ever, beware of crapy service, crap food and they...
