Shady. Prices go up on discount days. I had my eye on an armoire for $100.00. I took my chances and hoped it would still be there when discounted 50 percent. It was there when I returned the next discount day, but the price had increased to $160.00. I really wanted it, so I paid the $80.00. I had to come back for it. They put a sold sign on it and gave me a cash register receipt with just the price. They have a three day pick up window, and I couldn't picked it until the fourth day. I was very happy it was still there with my name on it as sold. I told two people at the counter that I was there to pick it up and asked if they had a dolly. The one guy said yes and left. When I walked back to the armoire to wait for the dolly, the sold sign that had been there five minutes before was gone and was replaced with a new for sale sign for $90.00. I waited for the guy to return with the dolly and watched him come back without the dolly. I told him that someone had removed my sold sign and it is for sale again. He said, Yes. That was me. I said you told me you were going to get a dolly. You know I bought it and am here to pick it up. He argued with me about my receipt and said the receipt doesn't state what I bought. I was getting frustrated and he finally brought the dolly. That was Shady and Weird. I'm not going back. I don't like playing games with...
Read moreMy first and LAST time donating or shopping here. I shopped cookware, pottery, backpacks and holiday decor. There's no reason why anything chipped, cracked, or broken should be more than a couple dollars therefore a large portion of the ceramics and dishware is overpriced. The backpack selection was nice and reasonable. What really appalled me was the check-out process. Employees allowed a customer to shout and curse at me in line because I "didn't hold her spot" when she placed an item in front of me in line and walked away. With only two registers and over 30 people in line, they need to allocate resources better at check-out. The weaving check-out lines caused much of the store to be un-walkable and caused customers to bump and argue over shopping items and places in line. Depsite their wonderful mission at Suncoast Hospice, this store is a disaster. Don't waste your time coming here. The deals aren't worth...
Read moreGood store with reasonable prices. I regularly go about once a week.
However today I had the most bizarre experience when checking out. I normally take the clothes off the hangers before checking out. Got to the register and tried to hand the hangers to the volunteer. She mumbled something about her wrist and had me come behind the counter to hang up the hangers. She didn't even ask, just a lot of mumbling and pointing. Then while checking out the phone rings, she drops my items and walks away to answer. She didn't understand or hear what the person on the phone was asking. So she shoved the phone at me! Like seriously wanting me to answer this person question. I did and immediately hung up. Again, the volunteer did not even ask me to help. So strange, I'm the customer and don't work there. Very strange and bizarre that she would just expect the customer to...
