Need better training for front of store employees. Went here yesterday to buy vases for work. Went to check out. The young girl at the counter didnt even bother saying Hello, find everything okay?. Just started ringing up my stuff. She did not wrap GLASS vases well, put only 2 sheets of paper on the bottom of the bag leaving the sided and top exposed. She seemed mad. One GLASS vase she didnt even put the 2 sheets of paper, So i asked her to wrap the GLASS vase. She hastly grabbed the vase, was absolutely not being careful with it. So I said to her, you seem mad. She replies " Im not Im not feeling well, Im a epileptic", So i just looked at her and said " that isnt my fault" which she replied "I didn't say that It was". All while still not being careful with the GLASS vases. So i asked her to be careful with those because she wasn't. If your employees are so sick they cant great or have even a remotely friendly positive attitude with customers they should go home. Also It is NOT the customers responsibility for a employees illness. You should never treat a customer like that, if you are sick go home, or go see a doctor. Don't be at a job with a bad attitude and treat people less than. She couldn't even be bothered to say HI. Ugh. It was so unfortunate because I really did like this store but with that experience ill just stick with TJ MAX, at least the employees there...
Read moreI love home goods but today I witnessed the rudest interaction between some lady with purple hair (maybe manager or Assistant manager) and a customer. The customer was trying to buy a ceramic sculpture of a dog but the foot had a little chip in it. The customer very politely asked if she could get a discount for the chip and the purple hair lady very rudely snatched it and said “no we have to zero it and throw it in the trash now” the customer said she would still like to buy it and the purple hair lady was very rude and told her no. Angie the manager asked me to wait because she needs to call for the person I charge of chicken section because Saturday she was off. I patiently waited.
