The store was clean and well stocked. They had beds from all three tiers of their product line. We were encouraged to test out all three. They were very sensitive to cost constraints and asked if there was a maximum we were wanting to stay below. They said they would do their best to find something that would give us the benefits of sleep number but would still meet our budget. We dealt with three staff members who were all very well trained, they knew the products and did not apply any sales pressure at all. I highly recommend this store if you are curious about Sleep Number beds.
We have had one for 20 years and it was time for an upgrade. Our pump and air inserts have lasted for that whole 20 years. We had to get a new remote a couple of years ago, and that required a new pump, but the old one was still working. The foam support around the air insert on the sides of the bed were worn down after 20 years, but that is to be expected. It still provided a good night's sleep. My big pitch for Sleep Number is that it is adjustable, so you can tailor the firmness to your situation over and over again, through injuries, pregnancies,...
Read moreAfter my elderly mother was discharged from the hospital several years ago we needed a quality mattress for her. She visited the Sleep Number store and selected a twin mattress with head and foot tilt features. The mattress still inflates and tilts so it never occurred to me that the mattress was uncomfortable, especially with all the bells and whistles that allow it to be adjusted. NOT SO. She started sleeping in a recliner and I stayed with her recently to help manager her care and slept on the mattress. Honestly, I've slept on camp cots more comfortable than this bed. Lumpy and no way to get comfortable despite multiple adjustments from firm to soft. What a waste of money, time and effort. So happy for the people who like this but don't assume it will answer your...
Read moreMisleading sales pitch. We were specifically sold on the idea of "the last bed you'll need to purchase" by the reps boasting the 25 year warranty. Come to find out its much less beneficial after 2 years; you'll be on the hook for prorated parts and full price labor even when (not if) the bed fails from defect/workmanship. One of the air chambers has a leak, the replacement part was quoted at $530 yet the equivalent current model is on sale for $900. You can pay 50% less elsewhere for a bed that won't deflate after 2.5 years, or 10 years even. But if a premium price for low quality products and nonexistent customer support is your desire, then look no where else. The one thing I did receive was an empty apology followed by a sarcastic remark about appreciating...
