went 05/30/2021 around 6:30PM. Wonton soup tasted like chicken and noodle soup and was salty. Frozen egg rolls from the freezer isle at the grocery store tasted better than the ones here. Snow crab tasted old and the pieces of the snow crab were tiny and thin. Crawfish was old and had obviously been sitting out for a bit. Their sushi section was just the same sushi with different toppings, none of it labled so didn't really know what was what fish wise. Nothing was really labled but a few particular items on the rest of the buffet. Terriyaki chicken, general tsos chicken, and honey chicken were all chewy. Every single one, all chewy. The honey chicken was cut in large pieces and created bunches of just cooked or half cooked dough. Fried shrimp, the breading was too thick and the breading didn't cook all the way. Dumplings/potstickers tasted like freezer isle potstickers. Everything was either salty, just okay, or bland. There was nothing exemplary here. Fried rice was a joke, it was white rice with some egg and vegetables in it - nothing fried about it. Lo mein choice of noodles was an odd choice of noodles but the flavor was okay. Fried zucchini was bland. String beans were bland, lacking sauce mostly. Broccoli that was part of the beef and broccoli was extremely crunchy - I'm assuming the only cooking the broccoli had was a blanch and mixed with the beef. Never saw the octopus they speak of.

My hubby said the garlic bread was fine. The desserts were similar. Grapes were seeded. Watermelon was fine and the puddings tasted like regular pudding cup pudding.

Some things were okay but a lot of it was mediocre. 13/14$ per person for a bunch of junk.

Called ahead and was told the hours they're open. Didn't match the hours on their website.

Waitress was more interested in turning our table than filling our drinks - our drinks were easy. All waters but had to ask for a refill.

Parking was a joke, good luck...

Came here off a friends reccomendation, however, upon arriving it was painfully obvious that it was because of the 10% off discount you get for saying something nice.

All of the food was subpar. Nothing really stood out enough for me to say it was good. But honestly, I didn't expect too much from a buffet in the first place. I had tried a little bit of everything, but that first bite of everything was all I had. Most of the food, once I got to my table, was already cold. It took maybe 2 minutes for my fillets to turn into a cold mess. Plus, the lighting of the cold bar made it look very suspicious.

The sushi bar was also just a joke. I've never seen so many ways to "spice up" a california roll. The rice was hard and stale, and there were three serving tongs between about 7 different varieties of rolls.

The service was also, somewhat awkward. We walked in on some guy pacing and muttering at the front door. I thought it was some crazy customer but it turns out this person was the front greeter or something. Our waitor was very courteous, but it looked like he was the only person in the restaurant having to serve and clean tables. With a resturaunt that large, I'd expect maybe three servers minimum.

Overall, I'd highly recommend going to any one of the many other asian food places around town. You can get a better quality of food for a...

FINALLY, College Station has a Good Chinese Buffet!!! Excellent selection to choose from as well as great taste! (Not that Ketchup flavored General Tso they serve at China King) the Mongolian Pork is my favorite, it’s a bit pricey when they have the extra seafood items I don’t eat like Crab Legs, so I recommend going at Lunch, unless you like doing all that work for a little bit of meat and paying extra. But this place is better then any other in town, and I HAVE tried them all, even the non-Buffet Asian joints in town. My ONLY complaint is I had been going there for awhile and when given ticket after eating went up to register to pay, then one day last month went by myself about 4:30pm and after I was done I got up to go pay and and some guy who worked there told me I had to pay, I was like yeah i’m going to register to pay, and he know kinda rudely raised his voice and was like, NO, you pay at table! (which I had never done in past?) I said, I’m sorry I’ve always paid at register and he again said, NO, you pay at table! So I went back and paid at table. The next time I went i’m sitting there eating watching EVERYONE finish and go pay at Register, which I ended up doing to. So I almost DID NOT give 5 Stars because this one rude employee. But I have not had problem since, and the Food is really good so i’m...

Ye Star Buffet, I was hesitant to enter at first because of the most recent reviews. But I went in anyway. My overall experience was positive. When you walk in you will be greeted with a malodorous fishy smell. Do not let that scent push you away from dining here. They have the usual selection of Chinese buffet foods including the plethora of chicken dishes, a few beef based dishes, some seafood options including octopus, some soups, and desserts. The sushi selection is.. well, unique is the best way to describe it. If you’re looking for some normal sushi, head somewhere else. As for the normal food dishes, you will be able to enjoy the run of the mill delicious buffet style Chinese food. The employees were all very nice and greeted me and helped my with anything I needed.

My friends brought me here because I love Chinese food, I love buffets and, they love me lol. Really we were having a going away meal with another good friend of ours. Anyhow, the selection of fruits, seafood, sushi, condiments, soups and dessert was outstanding. Everything I ate ( 3 plates worth) was so delicious. I couldn't try all the dishes but, I will be sure to try on my next visit what I wasn't able to consume this first time. They also had a big selection of Hello Kitty items up front along with other miscellaneous knick knacks that were of some interest but, I was unprepared to shop. I will definitely be returning and bringing other paying customers. May this business stay blessed, prosperous and remain open for a long while. A new favorite of mine, for sure! 😃

My friend and I went here for the weekend buffet. The options and variety were very good. We enjoyed the sushi variety which is very good for a buffet! We also enjoyed the options of seafood on the buffet. My only complaint was that I felt that the crab legs were overcooked but the other "exotic" items, such as octopus and squid, along with more common shrimp dishes made up for that. The soup options were very good, more than just the typical hot and sour or egg drop. The management team also went out of their way to accommodate my friend with a special request. I will be back again and would recommend this Chinese buffet over the others in town.
