The management was extremely rude to my mother with a service animal she was alone with my brother so she couldn't ride in a power scooter and had to push a cart with the toy firetruck attached to the front she has only 50% weakness in her left leg and she has a tiny service dog that could make her fall being in a busy heb and the manager came up to her and told her it was against the law. And wouldn't provide proof. Then my mom went ahead and tried to walk with her service animal and push the cart and then her service animal kept almost being ran over by baskets so she put back most of all her products she was going to buy and picked up her animal and headed for check out and started checking out at self check out then these 2 management men harrassed her as she was trying to leave and starting to trigger her in to a Anxiety attack her dog went into action and tried calling my mom down and she told the 2 me. To leave her alone so she could finish checking out and leave and one of the men raised their voice and said that he would continue to be overly close to her and threatened her to call the cops on her. She asked if the carts are ever cleaned and the MANAGEMENT SAID THEY ARENT EVER CLEANED, SO EVERY PERSON WITH GERMS, COLDS, FLU, PIGS, CHICKENS, COWS FISH BLOOD THAT HAS TOUCHED THE AREA IN THE CART WHERE EVERYONES GROCERIES ARE IS FULL CESSPOOL OF GERMS. AND THE AREA OF THE CART WHERE KIDS SIT AND MY LITTLE BROTHER WAS SITTING HOLDING ON TO HER SERVICE ANIMAL WOULD HAVE NOTHING TO DO ABOUT THE FOOOD SINCE THAT AREA ONLY HOLDS CHILDREN AND NOTTTT FOOOOOD!!! MY MOTHER SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN TREATED THIS WAY ALL SHE WAS TRYING TO DO IS GET SOME THINGS SHE NEEDED LIKE A NORMAL PERSON. BUT NOW THIS HEB HAS BEEN OFFICIALLY REPORTED TO THE AMERICAN...
Read moreFloral department was rude. I have been searching for florist for my wedding. I really wasn't sure where to start but was told hey maybe HEB. So I went in and saw a woman working there. I smiled and said hi I have a question, do y'all do wedding florals?
She smiled but scoffed and said first off, if you have a question I can't just answer your question. I was confused and thought maybe it was a joke or something. Nope.
She said if you want to ask a question you have to send me an email and then I'll get back you. But that email isn't to answer your question. It's just a consultation email to set up so we can speak.
Essentially requesting an audience with the king type of thing.
I said oh okay but I don't need a consultation if I don't know if you do wedding orders. I'm looking for someone who if I gave them a color scheme from photos could make about five floral pieces for a wedding. I'm not looking to design right now.
Again she said, email and then we will figure out a consultation and then she will answer the question and then we can work on flowers.
I live an hour and a half away from this HEB. I just wanted a simple yes or no. In which case I would have been happy to say oh you do, I will email you to set up a consultation.
I even told her this directly stating that it would be a waste of both our times if I set all this up, drove another 1 1/2 back one way, just to be told no. I made it very clear I wasn't looking to create the flowers in this moment. What could have been a 2 second conversation...
Read moreOne of the worker decided to have a little power trip with me today. I decided to buy some alcohol and when I went to show him my age verification, it was denied. Now, my ID has been lost and I am in the process of getting a new one but I have other documents that verify my age. He claimed that it is in the policy to have a physical ID, which it is NOT after reading the policy myself. I got my husband to come in with his ID and he said " I refuse to sell you any". One of the other works explained that if my husband has is physical ID and I have proof of age then it should be fine, esecially if my husband check out by himself. He relied "Well I refuse to sell to them so they can go somewhere else then". I'm not sure if this was racial motivated or if he was just having a bad day but I will refuse his service from now on if I ever need assistance. HEB should make sure that its employees know the policies or change the policy wording if that is what will be inforce. I have been coming to this HEB for years and I dont think I will be going back.
Sad because the regular workers are very nice and friendly, I had a great interaction with a female worker in the bakery. The management of this establishment needs some serious consideraitons, especially with all the negative reviews being from non white persons (especially concerning what they consider to be "valid ID's"). Any governement issues document should be valid, otherwise HEB need to create their own form of...
