It has been 20+ years since I was in one and was looking for senior photo outfits and grad outfits. It was overcrowded with clothes, many being dirty, torn dresses on the bottom (short length) and bugs crawling around in a few places. It smelled of old boxed up clothes that had not been washed. Some of the clothes were from Shein and cheap stores that is not the quality I used to see their when shopping years ago.
Extremely disappointing 😔.
It was out by Monroeville, but still The year that I was at a Plato should not matter Plato‘s closet name used to stand for itself. The store location does not matter, plato‘s was always known for its high-quality or name brand clothing and shoe items and there were some items that were fine but over half of the items were tattered and old not the quality that I expected with a Plato‘s closet. I’m not saying bedbugs. I’m talking bug bugs.
The employees were fine. I had no problem with a single employee. That was there. It was just the quality of the items. Most clothes were so stretched that they were not true to size. I was just very overcrowded. Sometimes to much is not a good thing.
A good friend of mine said Monroeville is not like this, I face-timed her and she was amazed at the...
Read moreFirst time at this location, went to try selling my clothes for the first time. While I waited I walked around at the clothes and my hands got pretty dirty touching the items.
Took a long time before they were done. I think they were done but just did not wave me over. I was standing very close by.
I was told my clothes were more than two years old and they all were not. I was also told they were not teen casual. I only buy in the junior section it is my size range. Some items still had tags on them? I also wouldve preferred a simple no, I think I would've been less offended. I know some people probably want details but I would suggest waiting for someone to ask.
I honestly didn't care I ended up taking the clothes to goodwill, I just think the advertising is misleading. "We will buy your unwanted clothes" I could see if they had arm pitt stains, holes, or massive stains.
As I walked the store some items on the rack had stains, and minor flaws like bits of dog hair nothing too major as they are second hand. So I didn't think they would be so picky. Reminds me of gabriel brothers have to really look...
Read moreVery disappointed with my experience in the store. I took 2 fully packed bags, all items the store has posted on their social medias that they need which is besides the point of this review. I’m aware the store can be overstocked and will pass on some brand items. I am disappointed because after I dropped off my clothes, I was in my car for not even 3 minutes before I received a text my clothes were done. There is no way even if you look at each clothing item for 1 second you’d be able to look through all the clothes I brought in that fast. Not to mention I perfectly fold the clothes in the bags and they look the same as I brought them in on the bottom half of the bag! I could have put a $100 bill on the bottom and It wouldn’t have even been noticed. I just felt like It was very lazily looked over. It’s unfortunate because I do feel like the employees pass on decent items for the store simply because they don’t want to take the time and look through peoples bins. Like I said, I’m fully aware they will pass on items due to being overstocked, there was just no way all my items were...
