Hi! My name is Zoe and I did a fall DTS here in September of 2021, my mother was with YWAM as well in the late 1990s.
The staff here are wonderful, they listen to each student and handle every situation with kindness and maturity, they are personal with their relationships with the students and intentional in every word and action
This base has a lot of great things to offer such as Direct access to a local coffee shop, a pool, basketball and soccer court and convenient location close to Walmart fast food places and more
Not to mention you’re literally in Colorado Springs, the views are obviously spectacular, there’s a lot of fun local things to do around here other than hang out at the base, me and the other DTS students will often go bowling rollerskating hiking or even just shopping on the weekends
This base also has a good variety of focuses you can take, I am currently in the worship focus and I absolutely love it
If you have any questions regarding the details of this base staff and more I would love to answer them for you, saying that I am currently walking through this wonderful...
Read moreYouth With A Mission Colorado Springs, Strategic Frontiers (YWAM SF) is a phenomenal place that offers many opportunities to become involved in the work of God around the world. As a YWAMer we learn about the core values of our mission and one is that we champion youth and believe me, YWAM SF does just that. Whatever your interest or skill level there is a place for you. The staff and students are so diverse that it is like living in a microcosm of the whole world. And even though we are "youth" with a mission, we have staff from 18 to 80. Its awesome having a multi-generational campus. Also, the accommodations are so great. We call the building "the Park". It used to be a resort hotel, so imagine.....nice comfy rooms, a pool, a conference center, a cafe and a coffee shop, not to mention being in a great location. I was there for six years and then God moved me to another equally great base. I highly recommend you take a school, or at least go visit the campus for...
Read moreUnfortunately had a very bad experience here with the leadership being absolutely belligerent and egotistical in the handling of a certain situation which could of been handled with Love and Grace, but instead was treated as if the student meant nothing. Every experience is different, but in our case definitely very disappointed in leadership for not showing any kind of patience or love. I haven’t stepped foot in a church for 5 years due to unnecessary judgement and this place is no different and definitely justifies my feelings on churches and “Christians”.
I pray that these people are accounted for the...
