Used to love coming here. I was in at the beginning of Dec. I believe. I don't sell alot here, just a few times over the years, but we do come here to shop quite often. The girl at the front was extremely rude about the jeans I brought in to sell. Said "low rise jeans aren't what we are looking for they aren't in right now" she then proceeded to tell me that they were also too worn out. Well the jokes on you, I bought two of the four from Plato's less than a month prior and had never even worn them. Well I kept that part to myself. I said ok can you just donate them. She condescendingly said the donation box was full. I said well you can throw them away then. She said their trash was full too and kind of smiled. I was like wow she's really enjoying this. I could tell she was really frustrated because I had already asked to go to the dressing room twice. In her defense it was morning and I was one of the first customers in the door but for the endless amounts of money I've spent here over the years you'd think they wouldn't be so snotty and rude. Seriously myself and my family have been coming here for years. I once spent $600 at one time for school shopping. They sure loved me that day. My sister said she's noticed the rudeness lately as well. I won't be back and neither will she, neither will our teen daughters. I just don't feel like being bullied anymore while I'm trying to shop. I can't remember her name. But I'm sure she'll remember...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNormally not one to leave reviews but this was just kinda hard not to mention. I went in yesterday to sell some clothes, I usually do this once every year or 2 years when I feel there are some things I just don't wear often enough to keep. I brought 2 bags full of clothes and each had a pair of shoes aswell. When it was time to pickup I was offered 12.50 and pretty much all my clothes back which I thought was confusing because both shoes were name brand and very clean. One of them worn once or twice. I asked about them not taking the shoes and the lady wasn't even aware of them. I also noticed they had clearly not even rummaged through the second bag because I had folded the clothes in a weird way and they were all still that way stack in the same order. And it was full of barely used sweatpants and jeans which is perfect for right before winter. Moral of the story is I'd give them a 1 but it can be a good place to find cheap clothes, though they have been raising their prices and sometimes charge more than when a piece of clothing was new. I just think they're abit lazy, all the workers seem nice and care alot about fashion but lack customer service skills. If you weren't interested enough in guys clothes to look at the second bag I'd rather be told right when I walk in instead of having to wait 30 minutes for people to not even look at...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place is just okay. I have bought and sold here and it is just disappointing. I have bought their used clothes, and even bought a shirt that had an obvious hole in it, but I thought it was cute. I went back to sell the same clothes that I had bought back to them, and ironically they did not accept some of them. And I do feel like they are too pricey for a second hand shop and focus too much on name brands which not everybody really cares about. You can find brand new clothing items at Kohls or other department stores on sale, for the same prices they are selling used stuff for.
As the other reviews mentioned, there are no real plus size clothing items and it is true, they will literally pay you chump change for good quality stuff you bring in. I brought in a pair of practically new Doc Martens that I had personally paid 135 for and they only offered me 15 dollars for them. The employees who go through the clothes you bring in, most likely pick and choose what they think is cute or is āin seasonā. I choose not to shop here anymore and I am done trying to sell stuff there. I would rather give it away to thrift stores and call it a day. At least there, you can get it written off for...
