First I would like to say we usually order your quesadilla fajitas and they are fantastic! Also, your service before has been wonerful. Today was very different. I decided to order your chicken enchilada suizas as I had made them and had them elsewhere. I could tolerate them because they had a creamy sauce. However, yours came with a dark red sauce (I found out later it was mole). I told the first server I didn't eat tomato sauce, she shrugged her shoulders and left. We didn't see a server for some time, so I tried to scrape off the sauce and eat what I could. Much later a second server asked if we were finished with our meal and brought boxes. After waiting sometime, I had to stand and let someone know we were ready to leave. I noticed one server was making gift bags at one table and three servers were sitting and talking together by the bar. When the checkout person asked how everything was, I told her that the chicken enchilda suizas were not made with a suiza sauce and told her that I did not tolerate the tomato sauce. She said that your restaurant makes them with a mole sauce. Please do not list them as chicken enchilda suizas when they...

Poor service, and mediocre food will disuade me from giving this restaurant a second chance. The restaurant wasn't busy at all, but if I wanted anything, I had to stop the waitress and ask. She never offered me a refill on my salsa, and I have up trying to find her for a refill on my drink. After delivering my food she never came back to check up on me, not even to bring the check! I eventually got up and walked to the register. The food was expensive for the portion size. A meal and drink was over $18.00. The Chile Colorado was so bland, that of it weren't for the chips, salsa, and coke, I would have been inclined to take a COVID test. Normally it is a spicy dish, but La Tolteca United Statesed it, and took all the heat out. It's in a high traffic area, so I'm sure they'll survive, but the food and service explain why the place was almost empty. With so many great Mexican options in Columbia, they're going to have to adapt and be willing to make some changes if they want to...

I came in with my family and spent over 100 dollars. We had bought my son a kids meal.which he didn't eat all of it. Due to the fact that I took a bite off his plate they uncharged me 5 dollars, they doubled the price of the kids meal because an adult took a bite off their sons plate. What kind of place watches you while you eat? Pathetic, nasty, and disturbing. I will never be back and the old lady waitress does a god awful job. If a place watches you that close for afew dollars when you already spend over 100.dollars. they don't care about you as a customer. I wouldn't refer this place to anyone. And the old lady needs fired she's rude and disrespectful and not meant to be a server. DO NOT COME HERE. There's about 10 other good Mexican restaurants in Columbia....

We absolutely loved this place for the food and atmosphere. Unfortunately, during certain times of the day, there is no management of the establishment. Today we went to enjoy our 4th meal in 2 weeks and 2 staff were sitting in the booth listening to videos on their phones loudly. I asked the server if he could turn on some music (hoping to drowned it out). After the music was turned on, they proceeded to increase the phone volume. At this point, I personally asked them to turn down the volume since we are eating and didn’t want to listen. They again, disregarded the customer and continued. From there we boxed up our meal and left. Hospitality is a large part of the dinning experience; unfortunately those who work here don’t give a sh*t!

Chips and salsa were both really good. I ordered the Pollo Azteca, and it was delicious! I was surprised by how many large shrimp came with it, and they were cooked perfectly. Not overdone and rubbery, like many places. The rice was fine, and the beans were bland. I'm still not sure how I felt about the Gold Margarita...pretty sure there was something carbonated in it, and I didn't really taste any tequila. But I still drank it all! LOL Service was great! The mom (I think) was running a tight ship. She doesn't speak much English, but she came and asked if everything was okay at LEAST every 10 minutes. I love supporting small businesses, so I'll be back!

I stumbled upon this restaurant as I was looking for somewhere open past 9 PM. I’m glad I did as the La Tolteca Fajitas for two were delicious. I wish the order came with more tortillas because the portion sizes were huge. The complimentary chips and salsa was a plus. The vibe was kind of dull and the bright white lights are not aesthetically pleasing. The waiter and cashier were friendly. One thing to keep in mind is that they have a 3% surcharge for credit card transactions.
