I made a $63 purchase on September 9th and was charged for it a second time on September 15th. When I called the store with my concern, the owner Michelle tried to convince me it was just a hold on my card. I expressed that all of the money was missing from my account and there was no indication of a hold. She then very rudely told me “I can have our banker call and explain the exact same thing I just did.” I accepted this and she asked for my card number for a call back. I thought it was odd that my card number was being requested over the phone when I was already calling about being wrongfully charged. I gave my phone number instead and then waited for a call that did not come. I reached out to my bank instead. My bank confirmed that Michelle had not given me the correct information and I was indeed double charged. I worked it out with my bank. I understand mistakes happen but I really did not appreciate the way Michelle handled this situation and completely wrote me off when I called with this concern. Im glad I went to my bank instead because I’d otherwise be out an extra $63. As a college student, $63 is a lot of money to be missing.
