The other week, our hand crafted lamp that was originally purchased about 7 or more years ago from the Annapolis LAZBOY Store- shattered. We returned to the Annapolis store in hopes of a match (it was a very appealing/popular lamp). I showed the floor salesman a picture of it- and he encouraged me to go the back and speak with two LAZBOY ANGELS! These gentlemen were Hervan Issac, Sales Manager & Alan Schrum, Certified Sales Consultant. They brain stormed for a few minutes as my heart sank, and then the Manager got on the computer showing me there was 52 in the system, and told me if I drove over to the Columbia, MD Store that I would soon have our replacement in hand! They advised me to speak to Miss Summers and sent me on my way with well wishes! Miss Summers had her store's 2 lamps out and waiting for me - ready to ring up. I shared my concern for the ride in a Jeep from Columbia to Annapolis without them being in a box - having no protection. Then Miss Summers took extra effort in going in the back delivery area to see what she could do... and returned with enough bubble wrap for both lamps - and I purchased both! She even took the extra time and effort to personally help me carry them out to the Jeep! LAZBOY is impressive with the one on one service they provide.... yet work very well as a team. It's a pleasure to visit their stores and mull over their decorating ideas. Never feel intimidated about stopping in to just browse. We bought 2 power recliners from Lynn at the La-Z-Boy Furniture Gallery in Columbia, MD. We explained to her about my husband's strokes and upcoming heart surgery. She found the perfect chair for my husband to get in and out of after the surgery (the "Lawrence" model). It was a power model with no rocker motion. Also, he must sleep on his back for two weeks in the chair after his surgery. The comfort and support of the Lawrence will be perfect for him. We also bought another "Lawrence" chair (same power model with rocker motion) for our son. He is tall and slender, and needed support for his long legs. The "Lawrence" was perfect for him, too. Lynn got a great discount on both chairs for us so that we got two for the price of one. She also got pictures from the warehouse of the chairs we wanted so we could see the colors. She also had both my husband and son try several models to find the perfect one for each of them. We were also surprised at the light weight of each chair. They can also be taken apart for easy moving. We were also very happy that the chairs are made in the U.S. Lynn did not rush us through the process, and we definitely found her service to be outstanding! Unfortunately, La-Z-Boy does not have their furniture removal or trade-in policy anymore, and we found that to be disappointing. I highly recommend Lazy Boy. My husband and I have purchased from the Columbia store many times in the past 20 years, and we have found the furniture to be reasonably priced but well made and durable. We have always had a good experience with customer service with any issue that has arisen. Our most recent purchase was our largest in Jan 2024, involving a complete makeover of our living room. Our salesperson, Sommers Richards, was warm and friendly, knowledgeable, and very patient throughout our time-consuming process while handling our many needs- a real joy to work with. Manasi Dubey partnered with us on design. She was creative while attentive to our preferences and needs. At the beginning of the process she traveled out to our home to take photos and measurements, and then created a virtual display to show us how different design elements would work together in our space, incorporating our ideas but offering some of her design thoughts to complement, helping create a wonderful plan for our room. On the day of delivery Manasi even came out to our home to be on site when our furniture was delivered to make sure everything was perfect. We were so pleased with each aspect of our experience at Lazy Boy, and so grateful to Sommers and Manasi for their skill, expertise and customer service. And we love our beautiful new...
