I briefly visited the Columbus State Community College [CSCC] Bookstore, at 283 Cleveland Ave. [in the "Discovery District" neighborhood of Columbus], on 12-14-2023.
I had recently attended a half-day conference in the CSCC Center for Workforce Development [at 315 Cleveland Ave.]; I decided to visit the Columbus State Bookstore for a few minutes before walking to my next destination.
I had worked for many years at a different "college bookstore" in Columbus [the former Long's Book Store near The Ohio State University campus]; I spoke briefly with the "textbooks manager" of the Columbus State Bookstore about other "college bookstores" in central Ohio [past and present] and then wandered around the Columbus State Bookstore for the next several minutes.

Read moreI just stopped in, because a lab manual that they sold me for anatomy was missing 40 pages. Literally a whole unit that I would fail the class without. The guy working at the front really looked at me and said “are you okay paying for another one?” Like um…. No? And stated later “I understand it’s missing pages but we can’t take it back because it’s used.” Like uh… duh. It’s 2 weeks into the semester and it’s a lab manual. That you use. In lab. Luckily a manager came out and gave me a new one. They did take my old one which had HOURS of work in so I guess good luck to me if I need it for later units, an exam, or physiology. Read moreStaff are helpful and know where everything is. You can get almost all of your student needs right in this building. Something not really well posted is the bookstore provides gift cards for both Subway and Union Cafe on financial aid money it took me asking at the Union Cafe to find out about the program.
Alot of the classes include ebooks now but the classes that have the ebook as part of your tuition will have a lose leaf copy of the book in the store if you need the actual text book and it's cheaper than the Amazon or direct publisher price by...
