I’m really disappointed with my experience with Process614. I dropped off some film for scanning and developing, and after a month of not hearing back from them, I reached out and was told that they a employee might’ve thrown them away. They never reached out before doing this, and they wrote my contact information on a sticky note so honestly I’m not surprised it was lost. On top of that, when I finally got access to the scans, I wasn’t clearly informed that they’d expire after two weeks. I missed the expiration window because of the lack of communication, and now both my physical film and scans are gone. These photos were really important to me, I had photos of my high school graduation and prom, so losing them really sucks. I’ve reached out multiple times about getting a refund, especially since the owner admitted there were communication issues on their end, but I haven’t gotten a response. From the beginning of contacting Process614 to get my film, I kept getting ghosted and having to send follow up emails. Since they’re a small business I’ve tried to be patient and understanding, but after months of back and forth, it’s just been a...

Macallister has lost multiple rolls, Dodd is fine but has thrown out my negatives, and Columbus Film Lab can’t really be trusted to communicate or even to ever develop and send you your scans- steer clear of those three for sure.
By contrast, working with Adam is always a breeze. He communicates well, works quickly, and does pro work. Whether it’s dev-only or dev + scan, I’ve been really impressed with the quality and care with which he treats my precious film, delivering images that remind me why it’s so important to keep shooting film.
So much love for Process614. Send them your film with confidence!
I’ve attached some shots of expired Portra 160NC Adam developed (selfscanned). Even though this film was 15yrs expired, Adam was able to develop well and deliver great...
Read moreI dropped off a disposable camera here to be developed. A couple days later, I received a Google Drive folder containing the scans. Several of them were cropped in ways that rendered them unusable. See attached for two examples.
I spent the next several days trying to contact these people to correct the cropping issues. When I finally heard back, the response was that the negatives had been disposed of and there was nothing they could do. Why dispose of the negatives before ensuring customer satisfaction? I’m very disappointed in the poor quality and customer service. I wouldn’t recommend that anyone get their film...
