Homedog Resort & Daycare — Local services in Columbus

My dog was attending Homedog's puppy school since he was 5 months old and he recently graduated then transitioned to open play when he turned 8 months old. He goes twice a week and he loves it! I'm glad he's more dog savy because of it. Greg, the owner, does all the training and he's very knowledgeable. There are courses you can enroll your dog into to get them even better trained. My American Bulldog mix puppy has been through one already and he's enrolled into yet another. Each course is affordable about $30 each plus you get a discount if your a member. Rates have recently gone up for open play to $28 a visit for twice a week or $224 a month for a recurring subscription. It's a good experience overall but 4 stars because their administrative abilities lack at times. You have to pay attention with the subscription when an extra week occurs within the month because you've got to add it in since the subscription is for 4 weeks at a time. Also they lose track of paperwork often. I think an inner office manager would do them some good. I've learned to trust them but can't understand why they don't seem to understand that that's a learned thing and not a given. Still the best dog daycare in town...

HomeDog is the absolute best daycare and puppy preschool in Columbus! We had been looking for a great place to bring our new puppy for daycare and puppy preschool and HomeDog has not disappointed. Every day the amazing staff take phenomenal care of our puppy Layla. Jackie the manager is absolutely amazing, on our first day when Layla was scared to go she sat down on the floor to get to her level and comfort her before they brought her back, as a parent this made me feel so assured. The trainer Faith is absolutely the best, my puppy Layla loves her! They spend time with your dog, they care and they are thoughtful. I am so impressed with how observant they are, with the amount of dogs they have they still take time to notice your dog and are quick to relay issues and or improved care. The front office staff is so awesome to work with and they will help you schedule with ease. We are so happy we found HomeDog and I know Layla is for sure. I will admit I'm a little jealous, I think Layla enjoys HomeDog more than home, lol #momissues. HomeDog...

Homedog Resort is top dog! Lame cliche but yes, it’s true. We brought our neurotic but loving rescue hound mix to them and they worked their magic making him feel comfortable and happy. They offer Big Dog and Small Dog Play and the boarding is SO nice. I always have guilt thinking of my dog crates in a lonely weird place while I’m on vacation but not here. They have private actual rooms for the dogs. You can board your own fur babies together if you wish and they use rooms according to dog size and number. They’re open on weekends letting the dogs play and feel some normalcy away from home. They are organized and efficient and the staff is great with the animals. We have our vet out of state and they worked with us for proof of vaccinations etc to make sure our pupper, and all the other dogs are safe. They have a live cam to watch your dog as well.
