Extremely Disappointed with Service and Billing Errors at Arepazo
I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction and frustration with the subpar service and billing errors I encountered during my recent visit to your establishment. It is with great disappointment that I provide this feedback, in the hope that it will assist you in rectifying the issues I experienced.
Firstly, the food service at your restaurant was unacceptably slow. Despite arriving during a relatively quiet period, my order took an exorbitant amount of time to be served. The prolonged wait left me feeling frustrated and impatient, detracting significantly from my dining experience. Timely service is a fundamental aspect of a successful restaurant, and unfortunately, this was sorely lacking during my visit.
Moreover, the delay in serving beverages was equally disappointing. It took an unreasonably long time for the drinks I ordered to arrive at my table. Not only did this impede the enjoyment of my meal, but it also left me feeling neglected as a customer. Efficient beverage service is crucial to providing a satisfactory dining experience, and in this regard, your establishment fell significantly short.
Furthermore, I was shocked to discover several false items on my bill. Charges for items I neither ordered nor received were present, causing me great distress and disbelief. The inclusion of such false charges not only indicates a lack of attention to detail but also raises concerns about the integrity and honesty of your billing practices. I expected transparency and accuracy in the billing process, but unfortunately, this was not the case.
Considering the poor service, prolonged wait times, and billing errors, I am left with a deeply unsatisfied impression of your establishment. Such a negative experience tarnishes my perception of your restaurant and diminishes my confidence in recommending it to others.
I urge you to address these concerns urgently and take immediate steps to rectify the shortcomings in your service. Timely and efficient food service, prompt beverage delivery, and accurate billing practices are essential for the success and reputation of any restaurant. It is crucial that you reassess your processes, adequately train your staff, and ensure that customers receive the service they deserve.
I sincerely hope that my negative experience was an isolated incident and that you will take decisive action to prevent these issues from recurring in the future. Your prompt attention and corrective measures will not only salvage your reputation but also restore the confidence of disappointed patrons like myself.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I trust that you will treat my feedback seriously and work diligently to improve the quality of service at your...
Read moreVery disappointing experience last night due to the restaurant’s ownership. I had received a gift card from the restaurant from a prior visit for $15 in hopes to give them another chance due to an event with my meal having a bug in the lettuce.
This visit I brought my wife and two kids as they have never eaten here as I have only come with coworkers. Upon payment, I presented the gift card and was informed the restaurant had recently upgraded their system and no longer had the ability to know how much was on the card and could not accept it. Only the owners had this information and they were not at the restaurant. Upon several visits to our table, our server who was very nice kept trying to work with the manager on duty and the owners over the phone. The owners would not let the staff on duty accept the card, leaving me to pay for the meal in full. Eventually the manager came out, and I asked since the gift card was only $15, could they just remove one soda and a kids meal from the bill which would amount to $14, they could keep the card that would take care of things? That request was also denied by the manager who said they already asked the owners and they would not authorize this either. If someone was going to lie about the balance on a gift card, I think they would make up a larger value than $15!
To top everything off, I was told if I wanted to use the card I would have to come back when the owners were there who could validate it, and that they typically are only present around lunch time.
Very poor business practices and inflexible ownership. Upgrading your system and loosing the ability to validate gift cards issued from the prior system, either sold or given out to customers, is inexcusable. I am sure I am not the first customer to try and use a gift card in from their old system that needed validated. Information to validate these cards should be kept at the restaurant and should not need the owners present to validate and authorize, if the owners do not trust the managers to do this when they are not at the restaurant, what is the point in having managers there...
Read moreVisit on 6/25/2020 @ 5pm: I wasn’t going to even waste the time rating this location, but it doesn’t deserve the credit the Gahanna location should have. My friend and I had recently visited this location during their happy hour, where it just was a downhill slope from there. From the time we arrived and sat down, our waitress, Brooke E, probably initiated the worse experience. My friend and I both ordered the margaritas and the papa criolla as an appetizer. It probably took 25 minutes to receive the margaritas (the papa criolla did not arrive), which was the same amount it took our waitress (Brooke E) to return to our table. The delay would’ve been fine if they were busy (they weren’t). Also the fact that the table next to us arrived at the same time and had ordered the same thing, received their items quite rapidly... it was honestly beyond me. When our margs did come...well mine was carbonated and my friend was not... which made zero sense to me. When Brooke E decided to reappear again (after another 20 minute hiatus), I hadn’t drank my drink and just wanted to ask why my drink was carbonated. When I did ask, she replied “we top all of our margaritas with sprite”. The fact that my friend’s drink was not carbonated nor have I been given a carbonated margarita ever, I know she was blatantly lying to me. From the terrible and slow service, I was just kinda over it at that point. I asked if I could receive another margarita without the carbonation (didn’t trust, so didn’t drink the new one)and my check. At that point we hadn’t received our appetizer and it was just going to be a waste of time staying any longer.
My friend and I ended up driving from downtown to Gahanna to go the location there because I know that there’s always great service and great food. I will always recommend that location not just for the food, but every time I go there I feel genuinely welcomed. Which I am sorry I even strayed...
