If I could rate this apartment negative stars I would. I signed a year lease last November with a move in date of December 26th 2022. This move in date was also confirmed by a previous employee days before. When December 26th came and I drove two hours with a trailer to find there was no staff in the office. To make matters worse many other residents were telling us that they haven’t been there since the 23rd while pipes were frozen and multiple units were destroyed. Later I found out this was because the staff at this time was not fixing heat. Luckily a resident was kind enough to give me the code to the garage. My apartment door was unlocked so I was welcomed within my first hour of living in these “luxury apartments” to no staff, trash, the painters materials, a missing a freezer door handle, what appeared to me a pink mold stain on the granite kitchen counter and countless other issues within my unit. The following day I went to the office to show them and there was no apology from the property manager or staff. I did not have a freezer door handle, trim on cabinets, or a fully functioning shower/tub until March after I had to go to the office and call several times in after weeks of waiting in order to get my maintenance request done. To make all matters worse in October my car was totaled in an accident. Due to the accident being on a Sunday it had to be towed to my place of residence. My car was in a back lot for 2 weeks where there was a residence pass in the back window and was registered on my lease. For your knowledge there are several cars that are broken down and/or abandoned that have sat in the parking garage since before I lived here. When insurance came to get my car it was no longer there because a maintenance worked named Shay did not check if I had a resident pass, registration, call me, or put a tow warning sticker or my vehicle. He then proceeded to lie to the office staff when we were trying to figure out when my car was towed. To make matters worse towing was also not enforced at this time either and is still not enforced. When they did send an email saying it would be enforced I notified them of my car but it was too late and my car was wrongfully towed. The property manager admitted that my car should not have been towed and said the property owner was going to give me $100 towards the tow bill which was about $300 which I never received. I was not given an apology or anything for when they wrongfully towed my car. They tried it was incorrectly parked but when my car was placed in the lot there were no parking lines. The gate only works 60% of the time so you cannot even get into the parking garage sometimes. Also good luck finding a spot after 8:30pm. If you have visitors enter through the gate a staff member will harass them & ask if they live here and ask why they are here. Then proceed tell them “residents are not allowed to have visitors here” then tell them to park at the courthouse a mile away when there is a designated visitor lot. To make matters worse the office then sends an email saying they are IDing all residents when they enter the parking garage and if you forgot your ID that day you won’t be permitted in your unit that you pay thousands of dollars for! If I pay $1,200+ a month as an adult I am allowed to have visitors this is a “luxury apartment” not a prison or a college dorm. Overall, living here is the equivalent to burning money. You spend more money here with rent & the astronomical utilities than you would spend living in a nice and true luxury apartment. Also, the area has gone downhill since moving here not sure if that’s due to the construction but save yourself the headache and live...
Read moreWhen I first moved in everything was fine. A few months later there was a severe leak in the apartment next to mine. The apartment was vacant so it was a few weeks before I noticed something was wrong. I told the leasing office that there was water coming from under the door and they said “the above unit washing machine was leaking.” This was a lie. A professional came out later that day to fix a water line break, not a leaking washing machine. I ran into him outside because the fire alarm went off while he was there fixing it. (PS: the fire alarm goes off every 1-2 weeks.) He let me know that the apartment was so covered in mold they would have to gut it and all surrounding apartments because of how bad and dangerous the mold was. The door was open when I was talking to him so I could see inside the mold covering the entire floor, and growing all the way up the walls. A week later I found mold in my bathroom, it was now growing through the walls of the other apartment into mine. This is when I decided I needed to move only 3 months into the lease. Which brings me to my next point, the ladies in the office were rude about me having to move since they “took care of the mold” when in reality they never hired a professional remediation company. They sent a maintenance worker into my apartment and had him spray bleach on my wall. I moved and sent an email about how I had a few packages that would be delivered to the apartment still. I had changed my address but since it was a sudden move there were some still in transit. They said they would hold them for me. I went to pick them up and one was missing. No big deal things happen. A week or so later I go to pick up the last package that was being sent there and it was also missing so I asked if they had cameras because I thought someone had taken it. This is the 3rd package to go missing FYI. This is when the property manager started raising her voice at me “they weren’t stolen. Stop having them sent here” I told her it wasn’t my choice to move out early and that it wasn’t ideal for them to be sent here so I’m not sure why she was yelling at me. She continued to yell “you are no longer a resident here, you no longer pay rent here so I do not care. You keep coming in here charging me about stolen packages, I do not care about you, you are not a resident anymore.” I left, and I let them know I would be posting...
Read moreTL;DR: Cheaply made units, very thin walls, management is at best incompetent, maintenance is severely understaffed, a brand new highway is getting built right next door. Go somewhere else, check Brewers Yard Apts. (not affiliated with them)
We've been for 3 years, and saw 3 changes in management.
Despite what they say, there is no security, cars got broken into, had to call security because people would just roam through the parking lot, gates are often left wide open. Our bike got stolen inside the complex despite having locks on it.
Those units about ~10 years old, and yeah they look nice on pictures, but cheaply made and so you WILL have to maintenance done as some point; good luck with that. Had to literally bribe maintenance to have them come in. When our AC runs, AC water drips directly from the ceiling in the shower and that AC water is rusty so you essentially shower with rust.......... (and yes, maintenance did look at it but never fixed it)
Also, good luck trying to have them on the phone, they never pick up, try for yourself and see.
If the property owners see this, please do something. You're just churning your returns. You might keep people for a year but word spread quickly and people are leaving.
Hallways are dirty, trash rooms are just filthy, packages are often stolen. They can apologize all they want, things are not getting fixed and they do not care.
Some renters are really shady, which makes you wonder how they vet people.
I am not trying to be mean, but this is a factual and truthful review. If despite this, you want to tour, then walk around the property and see for yourself.
Overall, I'd give 0.5/5 stars if I could. Needless to say that we will be (finally) moving out this...
