Lady Jane's Haircuts for Men- Grandview (W 5th Ave) — Local services in Columbus

If you call a place at 11 am and are told that they do walk in haircuts and appointments with specific stylists you would maybe expect that this place has people staffing it to accommodate the walk ins. You would be wrong. The lady who works at this location told me it would be a 2 hour wait because I didn’t have an appointment. I told her I called at 11 and asked why I could not make an appointment? Because you have to be a walk in first to be able to make an appointment? Honestly this place is run by inept people and the clientele seem fruits. I do not recommend it, and in fact I suggest shaving your head and breaking the endless cycle of seeking approval from others by outspending one another on grooming as if it is a great thing. What a waste of my time. I was willing to spend the money- but don’t say you take walk ins when you really don’t. I wish they’d use the mirrors to see the egg on their face and maybe apologize to me, but I don’t expect it. Appreciate the idea. I just wished that they would say “by appointment only” you set up my expectations falsely. I dislike that. And I really needed a haircut too. This is the last one I will ever get. And it was free....

1st visit. Wendy did a good job on my haircut but then completely messed up my brow wax. I even pointed out that they looked off from what I could see in the mirror across from her station but Wendy took a close look and assured me they looked good. I paid (gave her a $10 tip which was 50%) and then went home to get ready for work. In the mirror shaving I could tell they were REALLY OFF!!!! Not even close. Left one went down at the end, the right one curved up!!! It was VERY NOTICEABLY BAD! Especially from a conversation distance. I Immediately went back to have it fixed. Wendy was too embarrassed to even help me. Another girl had to do damage control to fix it as best it could be. Much better but it still looks off. After all that I asked for a refund and I was told it's against company policy and all services are final. Talk about adding insult! I realize people make mistakes but to not fix it and then not make it right? NOT GOING BACK and telling EVERYONE about...

I decided To go here because they are open until 8pm and I work until 5:30pm every day. I arrived at 6:10pm and the door was locked. Only One person inside cutting hair who ignored me at the door. I thought maybe someone went to break or something, and maybe there was a rule about locking the door with only one person there so I waited like 15 minutes and called them to ask if they are open. “Sorry- appointments only tonight and we are all booked up” Ok. I have been to many Lady Janes and never had an appointment. I understand that staffing is difficult these days but locking up the store 2 hours early with no sign on the door or explanation is a little ridiculous. So-if you go- Make sure you either call first or have an appointment . Don’t just show up thinking you will get a haircut like I did.
