I arranged payments through bank debit the day I signed up. Three weeks later, collection agents were threatening consequences for non-payment.
This came after four or five calls from representatives asking, "if I had any questions." It wasn't until after I told them everything was fine that they were able to see my case and explain I didn't seem to be paying. I laughed that off, because I had Regus' confirmation of the debit arrangement.
Then I received an invoice charging late fees for the month before I signed an agreement. I was advised to e-mail the help desk. I received an email promising a response in four days. It didn't come. Call #6 was to a collection agent who was the first to explain Regus takes 30 days to process a debit set-up. Call #7 was to a collections agent who confirmed no one had looked at my case in the two weeks since I was promised a response in four days. Call #8 was to help-desk representative who was the first to explain that you cannot make your initial payment through the debit set-up.
Regus has wasted my time, energy and patience. You shouldn't need a lawyer to understand how to pay your bill. Can anyone recommend a good virtual-office space company?
UPDATE: Four days after I made payment, I received a call back from Call #8 representative to say my account was still overdue. I reminded her I paid via eBill by following her instructions. So last week I logged in to cancel my membership. Went through the cancellation process but the system wouldn’t cancel my membership until the end of November.
