Steeplegate Mall — Local services in Concord

This is a sad thing to see. But of course, malls are dying all over the country. I can r ed member when this mall opened. It's at the top of Concord Heights where Loudon Rd meets D'Amante Dr. It's really east to see for 2 reasons. First, it's a large structure & secondly, the huge parking lots are always nearly deserted. Where once there was a lively meeting & gathering place with a wide variety of stores hawking wares from clothing & jewelry to candies & cigars now stands a mere ghost of those days. Too bad. There used to be a group of fitness walkers that'd be there every day. And the small kiosks that lined the main walk were a treasure trove of unusual finds. I sure hope they do something amazing with this mall when it runs out of stores. It is so sad to see there were a total of 9 stores operating on the day of my visit. The mall is quite a ghost town. The mall no longer puts their personal decorations or kid's carts in provided storage areas for the mall. Instead, the pile the stuff in vacant stores for all to see. Another thing I noticed were the parking-lot lights were down ON THE GROUND with the covers open and broken glass for anyone to touch. Serious way for someone to get injured. There is so many things to do at this location! I have a gym membership at the Zoo Health Club. Which also is where the massage therapist is located. I highly recommend if you are feeling sore after a workout or need stress relief. There is a food court in this location and so many clothing stores. The parking lot is huge and that makes it very convenient for finding parking. If you are in the Concord area and want to go shopping, workout, or just hang out with someone close to you; check out this Mall! You will have so many things to do!
