ALDI — Local services in Coolbaugh Township

I am so grateful that Aldi has been opening more stores in PA! This is my new go-to grocery store of the Poconos. Saves me a lot of time, as I used to drive 45 min to Wegman's for most groceries.

If you've never been to an Aldi's, just know that it's a little bit different shopping experience than other stores. The product selection is limited and mostly store brands. However I find the quality to be outstanding and the prices are always a bargain. The cashiers will ring you up rapidly but they don't bag, so BYO bags or boxes to bag up and carry out your purchases. Remember to bring a quarter for the shopping carts.

The organic selection is limited but growing. I'm amazed sometimes by how low the prices can be. For example organic soymilk for $1.89 a carton, wow, it's usually $3-4 at other places. I can fill my cart and get out for around $100-150 depending on how much organic meat I'm buying.

The AOS (aisle of shame lol) has all kinds of crazy bargains in limited quantities. I scored fleece lined suede slippers for example for $9.

The store was neat and organized. The shopping experience was great. While waiting on line a gentleman in front of us had put his groceries on the belt, we put ours on behind his with a little gap in between when she started scanning his items she must not have seen the Gap and scan some of ours as well and the guy said those aren't mine. When she realized she had made a mistake she complain that there was no divider between the groceries which we forgot to put on but instead of being nice about it and telling us to please put a divider between our groceries and the customer behind us she ripped it out of the divider holder and slammed in between our groceries and the customer behind our groceries really unprofessional in my opinion she could have been a little more kind and held her attitude to herself. As she was scanning she just threw our stuff right in the cart a little harder than they usually do. Instead of apologizing when my boyfriend grab the receipt she smiled like she wanted to start some kind of problem unbelievable...

Will not be visiting here again- apparently being on the darker side of skin color spectrum equates to an unpleasant shopping experience seemingly how the current staff (2/5/2024 opening staff)has been trained. Nothing worse than working your behind off on an blue collar job, attempting to shop for your family, to be an recipient of racially motivated continuous starring, obvious following throughout (faking stocking shelves). Directing me what to not forget to scan at checkout. This experience was bothering me to point I asked to use restroom(of course leaving cart near checkout) and to my confirmation of feeling both staff members were waiting outside by restroom, one of them immediately entering as I exited restroom as if I'm some big criminal,here to steal risking it all over what ?? It's 2024 ppl! Let the bigotry stay in the past! This ruined my day and will be contacting corporate and consulting attorney for following...
