I went in at 8:58 pm to pick up an important medication I had already been notified was ready. Yes, I realize closing time is 9, but as an RN coming straight from work in scrubs, I was doing my best to get there before closing.
When I walked in, one staff member asked if I could come back tomorrow because the register was closed. Then a white male employee, late 30s–40s, spoke to me in a very unprofessional and disrespectful manner. He said things such as:
“We are open for 12 hours and you decide to come 30 seconds before closing.” “This is disrespectful of my time for me to be ringing you up.” “I don’t get paid to stay late.” “If it was important, you should have come earlier or had someone else pick it up for you.”
I explained it was a necessary medication and that I had just come from work, but he dismissed my situation and continued to push me to come back the next day. Despite all the back and forth, he ultimately rang me up in less than a minute and was in his car by 9:03. Remember closing is 9 he was in his car by 9:03… what does that tell you ?
The interaction left me feeling disregarded and racially profiled. I strongly believe that if I had been white, I would have been helped without the unnecessary comments and resistance. Patients depend on pharmacies for timely access to medication, and employees should treat everyone with respect, regardless of when they arrive before closing.
I will also be reporting this incident directly, as this level of unprofessionalism is...
Read moreDO NOT GET YOUR MEDICATION FROM THIS PHARMACY!
The pharmacist in charge decided that he knew better than my licensed psychiatrist and refused to fill my scripts. He was extremely rude to my psychiatrist staff to the point they called me just to warn me about him, and begged me to transfer my scripts.
I drove to the store to calmly explain to this man that I have been taking this medication since I was in 2nd grade and I in fact need it to be able to function.
This man called me a drug seeker to my face, told me “It’s her problem she got upset” after I told him my psych team warned me about his behavior, and then began screaming repeatedly ( after hiding behind his desk ) about how I was now banned, I am a drug seeker and he will have me arrested. Mind you, this is all happening before 10:00 in the morning.
I reported him to CVS, I’m making a complaint to the commonwealth, and I am begging you not to fill your scripts here. This man believes he alone gets to choose whether you get the medication you need and will humiliate...
Read moreI wish I would of taken pictures of the bathroom. Got off Interstate and usually CVS has nice bathrooms, I had to tell my kids to not even wash their hands it was that bad! Mold behind bathroom and sink is disgusting. That has to be a health violation. To top it off the workers are rude and unwelcoming. We just got off the road from driving for two hours and as soon as we get out of the bathroom one of the managers or cashiers legit followed us from aisle to aisle. Maybe you should know the difference between thieves and customers. My son was patiently waiting for me by the registering and the lady rudely asked him if he was going to pay for his stuff. Literally almost threw my energy drink and chips at her and walked out. Poor excuse for such a well known brand. If this is the representation CVS wants as its standard I would like to say they won't last...
