Find a better Men's Warehouse. I've been meaning to leave this review for a while but I've been too busy, now that I needed my shirt I purchased from this location and it didn't look the way I intended when I bought it, it reminded me of my horrible experience at this location. I've spent over $2000 at men's warehouses around the country over the past year alone. I'm familiar with how they operate and services they provide.
Upon showing up at this Men's warehouse on February 18th this year, I was refitted for a dress shirt, once fitted, I tried on my first shirt, non iron, black shirt, I believe was Calvin Klein, the shirts length down my arms was over 3 inches short meaning I was given the wrong size by the salesman, so then I tried on another sized shirt to double check the size, it fit OK, but I did't like the shirt, I asked to try another shirt, this should have only be the second shirt considering he gave me the wrong fitting the first time - the salesman was now telling me that I'm not allowed to try on more shirts!... I told him that ""I'm not going to buy a shirt I don't try on and that it was his fault that I tried 3 instead of 2""... Regardless, trying on a shirt before paying $100+ shouldn't be an issue to make a big deal about like he was doing.
After I told him this, he started acting like I'm getting him in trouble and making his day difficult, I was feeling very uncomfortable, I already wanted to leave and felt that I shouldn't be asking for anymore help because of the attitude of this person standing next to me looking over my shoulder. I picked my shirt after trying on only the third, which I wasn't very happy with to begin with anyway, I just needed the shirt because I had to use it this night and my preferred shirt to match my pants was not available.
After I chose this shirt, the salesman had a folded wrapped pink shirt handed to me, I asked "what's this?" he said "your free shirt", I said "What makes you think I'd like this shirt?".. He then just stared at me, with nothing to say, he was obviously trying to rush me out of there and decided to pick my free shirt for me rather even letting me choose, I didn't even want another shirt, he wouldn't let me try any other on, and he tried to pick my shirt for me folded up and handed on my way to the register.. What a stupid thing to do. Very poor service.
By the way, at any store that I chose only a single shirt I never had to pay the full $100 Buy one get one free deal, I always just paid $50. So I asked him if he can make me a deal since I couldn't select another shirt and he denied me! - I had to pay $100 for the single shirt because wasn't about to take home a shirt I cannot try on, and given attitude if I made him let me try them on, which I'm sure I could have done, but I wanted to get out of there by now.
To end the bad experience, the salesman asked me if I had an account with them, I told him yes and provided my phone number, when looking up my account he said nothing of the $100+ CREDIT I KNOW that I have with the company and he charged me instead!! I didn't even want to say anything because of how I felt I was being treated here, I didn't want to get in another argument with this salesman over 100 bucks...
So I ended up leaving spending twice as much as I would have at another store, left taking a shirt I didn't really like but just settled for, feeling like I'm ruining this salesman day by trying on 3 shirts, left NOT using the credit I planned on spending and had the worst experience I've ever had at a men's warehouse.
In sales myself, I can tell you that each salesman represents the business or branch as a whole, so I suggest going to another one of their locations to avoid the service I received, they obviously don't care to treat their...
Read moreI hate giving negative reviews. I really do. But my experience has been bugging me for literally months now. I came here with the goal of buying my first suit. My budget was $800. I spent a little over $600. I chose the custom suit option and purchased some shirts as well. And for anyone who doesn't know, the entire process with a custom suit takes about a month or two. You pick what you want, they measure you, suit is made, you come in try on the pants and coat, they send it off to get tailored and pick it up complete another week later.
I don't want to throw the sales guy under the bus. And I don't believe he intentionally was trying to rub me the wrong way. But it was like when I would ask for advice instead I got arrogance from him. He did a great job showing me all the intricate special details in HIS suit. How much a suit says about a man.. yada yada... But when it came to my suit it was more 'Ok well if that's the color you want.... So are buying it or what?' I made it very clear with him that this wasn't just a quick purchase so I could attend a friend's wedding. This was supposed to be special for me, I wanted a quality suit I could feel confident wearing. But it was as if the guy just wanted to get me in & out of the door.
And then as soon as I paid it. That was it... the little attention I was getting was now gone. completely. Weeks later when I called in for a status I got "Hey buddy we'll call YOU when the suit is ready"...."ok". Another 2 weeks pass (2 weeks passed the estimated completion date) and I call again... "Oh yeah, your suit came in about a week ok. yeah come pick it up".... "thanks..." Then when I finally go in to pick up my suit, the guy barely says as much as 'hello' to me. They just give me my suit and that's it. Don't even offer to let me try it on first. Maybe confirm everything fits correctly and if I actually "like the way I look".... Nope. None of that.
And the best part.... After spending all the money. Waiting all this time. Getting the suit finished by their tailor... I try it out one day and show it off to some friends the comments I received "hey I got a great tailor to recommend if you want to get that suit fitting a bit better" "Hey you should try and go to a tailor and get he pants shortened a bit more". I'm embarrassed to say it's custom suit that was already tailored by men's warehouse. I have to literally find another tailor now and get everything adjusted on my brand new CUSTOM suit...
I'm just so frustrated. I saved up a good bit of money. I 'thought' I had done my research. Every man needs to have a suit and this was supposed to be MY SUIT. It was supposed to be special. I wanted to leave "liking the way I looked" and wanted to even tip my sales guy. But No. Neither of those happened.
But regardless of the situation.... thank you Men's Warehouse. Thank you for teaching me a lesson I needed to learn.
If a salesperson ever tries to rush you or make you feel uncomfortable, just walk away. It's just...
Read moreI was reminded why stopped shopping here. Clothes from MW used to take up quite a bit of my closet space a few years ago until their whole staff had ignored me while helping many others coming in after me. I figured 5 plus years later MW deserves another chance at getting my business back. Saw something online about custom suits and since I was in the area I stopped in. After a minute or two of walking around I am finally approached and I said I am interested in the custom suits. Immediately I am told an questions can be answered but measurements require an appointment. The associate politely looks at their calendar and asked when I am available. Naturally, I said I am available today since I am already there. The associate checks with someone who may have more authority or experience but since there was not an introduction of who they were I cannot say if that person was a manager. That person is scanning their calendar and speaking to each other about what day certain people were working so it was clear that they do not accommodate walk in customers. I explain I came in because I was in the area. More time passes as they scan the calendar to figure out what day they can measure a person that is already in the store directly in front of them when I just say I will check online and see if I will schedule.
As I am about to take my steps to leave the (manager/lead? Still no introduction) person began to explain (or patronizing lecture) it's best I make an appointment because if they take customers without an appointment... I stopped the lecture (that's how I took it) and thanked them and said I will go online then left. Hey... You have the ability to either make money right there with the customer physically in your store or require your customers to make an appointment to spend their money...
