GameTown — Local services in Covington

Rarely do I feel the need to write a review for a business. Even more rarely is that review positive. This place is the exception because it’s exceptional.

The fact that they have inventory at all is impressive given how impossible stuff like Pokemon is to find, and despite the fact that they’d have every opportunity to gouge people, the prices and trade rates (80%) are very fair and the service is excellent. And it’s not just good customer service, although they’re super nice and knowledgeable. It’s that they’ve created an environment in less than a month since opening where I’ve never felt more welcome in a business in my entire life. The owner super involved in the day-to-day and has been really cool to me every time I’ve been in, and is always looking for ways to improve the experience for the customer.

Overall it’s the best place on the North Shore to pick up cards by a mile and an awesome environment to play. Can’t recommend the GameTown...

I had an amazing experience at GameTown! The shop is super well-organized with an awesome selection of collectibles, games, and cards. What really stood out, though, was the staff—they were friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the hobby. Amazing atmosphere. Owner has plans for growth and I will definitely be coming back again and again! Everyone here is extremely friendly. I walked in to meet a friend and check out the store. We got invited to learn and play a game with the other patrons. I have high, high hopes for the future of this store. If you like table top games and a great group of people, check it out.
