I have only visited this place once and I would never even think of returning unless there was a posted sign that said under new management! The bourbon was pricey but good quality. The $30 ticket was overpriced especially since the opening band was dismissed after two songs (literally someone came on stage and told them to get off)! The main attraction was high energy talented local coverband was awesome thank you guys. They were excellent musicians! grant it the music was instrumental, but c'mon people you have to appreciate talent! The doorman was my highlight! Great care professional service following through from giving me my wristband to ensuring I received the change due me since I paid cash! Thank you, sir! Bartenders catered to MEN!!! Females were invisible. I was told, not asked, to move as the cowboy hat man extended the VIP rope! They tried to double charge me so I could leave a tip to my server who ignored me but held my card. I closed my tab with someone else but she couldn't retrieve my card. I LOVE music. I am grateful that musicians can find venues that will provide platforms for them to share their talents. I was so hopeful that the Northshore was going to finally have that with Whisky Tavern. I was wrong. I am a loyal customer to businesses who provide quality products, valued customer service, and a facility that radiates respect! This was not that place. Revamp and give the Northshore a much needed venue. I will be a loyal patron and spread the good news! Hopefully I won't be disappointed in the...
Read moreMy group of 4 decided to give this place a try. I ordered a Martini that was served to me in a cocktail glass. I thought this was odd. I told my friend, perhaps they don’t have any. Then I looked up at the bar and saw some. I also saw other people with Martini glasses. We order Crawfish balls for an appetizer. They were good along with the dipping sauce. We placed our food order and waited well over 40 minutes. The server said a larger group placed their order before us. Everyone’s entrees was luke warm at best. So that means the food was just sitting there waiting to be picked up. It took forever for the server to come back with the mayo we requested. Nothing spectacular about the food. Once we finished we waited again to ask for the check. Then we waited a good while for her to come process the payments. At one point we thought we had to go to the counter to pay. It definitely wasn’t worth what we spent. This place might succeed because they have live music. As for the food, the menu needs a revamp. We...
Read moreThe venue is very nice! Music was great. Food was not good...we waited well over an hour for a hamburger, nachos and steak. The tables next to us arrived after us and ordered and ate their food before we got ours. So I don't think it was the kitchen backed up. When we finally got our food it was ice cold. Waitress never came back to check so we just ate it (our food arrived at 9:45 just a few minutes before the band started and we heard the kitchen was closing) I ordered a beverage with soda and I asked the waitress if if was tonic b/c it didn't taste right. She said that she was positive she rang it up as soda. I get the bill and it was rung up as tonic so I got stuck paying $22 for a terrible drink. However, my sister order their expresso martini and it was amazing! It think it was called New Orleans Lady. The venue was nice but it seems they have to work out some...
