I came to this Walmart establishment in Covington on July 7th to pick up some items and an air conditioner. They had them in the store that day for just under $250 so I thought that was a good deal. I purchased my items and proceeded to my vehicle out in stall number 3 when one of the Walmart employees approached me asking if he can help load my things into my car. I go ahead and let the guy assist me. I thought it was a kind gesture so why not. He proceeds to load the AC in the back of my Jeep while I'm putting items in the backseat of my Jeep. I walked to the back and see that my rear – camera cord is unplugged. I plug it back in. I get back to my location and look down and notice that he damaged my vehicle by scratching it while loading the air conditioner into my car. I go right back to the Walmart with my receipt. I go into the store and I speak with the manager, Brett and Nadia about this situation. I showed them pictures of the damage and I show them a picture of the AC loaded into my vehicle. The manager Brett tells me that I need to call 1-800 Walmart to report the issue and that they would then have to review camera footage to start a claim. I did all of the above while sitting in there parking lot for 2 hours waiting to get the people on the phone. I found claim I was giving a reference number. One week later no one from Walmart ever followed up with me so I followed up with them by going back to the store. At that time I spoke with a manager by the name of Dom, he told me he would contact Brett that I stopped by the store. Brett Is never there when I follow up with the store on three different occasions on a Monday or a Tuesday. I spoke with Ryan, on my second return to the store. Ryan told me that I could come back to the store and file the claim with him. When I return to the store Ryan's story completely changed, Ryan told me Brett said he couldn't do anything about it And all of this is 3 weeks to the day of the incident. With this running back and forth and them giving me the runaround. The Walmart employee had damaged my vehicle. They don't want to stand on any type of integrity and do anything about it so they leave me no option at this point but to pursue further actions for damages to my vehicle. It's disgusting, it's wrong and there has to be accountability here. Brett, Nadia, Ryan and Mr. Dom, please be informed that I followed up with your store only for you all to not stand on any form of integrity. Your employee damaged my vehicle and there has to be...
Read moreA friend and someone I consider family was accosted by several Walmart employees a few days ago upon purchasing her items at the self checkout. These 4 employees 1 by 1 gathered behind her before even checking out and blocked her from leaving the self checkout area. The situation was handled wrong from the beginning while the useless random security Guard standing next to Redbox did nothing....
As employees were going through her items she voiced that it was illegal and did not have consent. They snatched the bag out of my friends hands without explanation and felt exploited from the moment she scanned her first item. Now I'm not sure if it was racial profiling or an employee having a bad day and taking it out on customers but this is not a way to treat this situation as most likely stated in Walmart's policy's.
These 4 employees thought my best friend was stealing the items by purposely not scanning them. Only to find out by the manager 20+ minutes later why she was detained and embarrassed in the community she lives in. All while her daughter watched silently in confusion while they tore through her brand new school clothes. Also it's sad because her and her daughter purposely used the self checkout so they could handle their own items and scan them due to covid and stay safe since her children both have pre existing conditions and also just to keep safe and do their part as stated on the doors of Walmart.
My friend is a frequent customer at this location and I am sure she will never return. As a matter of fact I will not be returning either and I live within a mile of this location. It's a shame because I always thought this was the cleanest Walmart..... as far as the parking lot goes that is. The guys that get the carts are killing it. That aside it's sad that I will go out of my way to be a customer at target or WinCo from now on.
Or maybe the auburn location treats it's customers better?.. we'll see.
Very disgusted by entire staff at...
Read moreThe service at covington wal mart has deteriorated substantially. They sold me a tank of propane gas. I used that tank as my reserve for when my current tank ran out. When my current tank ran out, the new tank did not dispense the gas, the tank was broke. The Covington store's 2 employees in the "Customer Service" department both refused to replace the full tank of propane gas that didn't dispense gas because I'd bought it over 90 days ago. I explained I keep a reserve tank at home because I don't know when my current tank will empty. Deaf ears. They couldn't care less. Basically they said it was a personal problem, and I'd have to take it back to the company who supplies their propane tanks. My second transaction was to return some light bulbs. She asked if i had the card i used to buy them. I stuck it in the reader and the purchase evidently didnt show up for her on that card. I asked her whether the fact i bought the light bulbs online made a difference, even though i used that same card to make the purchase on their website. she said she needed to see the receipt for the online purchase. I told her it would take too long, and since there were people waiting behind me, i told her to forget it. some retailers, like fred meyer, would look at the packaging, and in this case the brand was "Great Value" , and give me store credit for the amount. but, not COVINGTON WAL MART. Something has changed at covington wal mart, maybe at all wal marts. they used to try to keep your business. I like to give wal mart business so amazon doesnt take over the frigid world. i've never had a customer service problem at amazon. It seems if you don't have a receipt at wal mart, its your problem, even if it's Great...
