Plato's Closet Cranberry — Local services in Cranberry Township

I normally really try to support places like Plato’s and have given this location plenty of tries, but I’m done trying. As soon as you walk in, the girls profile you based on how you look. Then, I brought in a few bags and my friend brought in a bin. My items were checked in first, and then they checked in hers. They told us it would be about an hour to an hour and a half (which was fine, they were really busy BUT had probably 4-5 girls working on buys). We walked around a bit and my friend’s buy was done around the 1 hour mark. My buy was not done, but several buys checked in AFTER mine were. I asked about it around the 1.5 hour mark, and it wasn’t finished until over two hours after I checked it in. I had to leave twice to kill time after looking around the entire (now larger) store. When looking around the store, displays were a mess, with clothes just thrown on the tables and not folded. In the end, they took a pair of Sperry’s that were probably close to 10 years old, but not newer, brand name styles. They gave me $24 total for a nearly brand new pair of shoes, a brand new OtterBox case, and a few other items. I have seen people out and about recently wearing a jacket that I tried to sell, but they didn’t take it even though they were looking for “outerwear”. They’ll take anything from fast fashion places, especially in small sizes. Regular to plus sizes were extremely picked over, and they didn’t seem to be buying that, either. I usually never have a bad experience at any Plato’s. I was in this location about a week ago and I brought two big baskets of clothes with me. I signed in, was quoted 2 1/2 hours so I did some shopping in the store, left, got a text an hour after dropping off that my clothes were ready. So far so good, customer service has been great the girl that rang me out for what I purchased was incredibly friendly. I was given $33 for ten items which is about what I expect from any Plato’s honestly. Didn’t think anything of it, or the fact that my clothes were still folded because I almost NEVER get them back folded. When I was putting my clothes away at home was when I realized that at least my whole second basket if not also the first was not looked through one bit. Everything was still folded and organized the EXACT way I put it in the to fit everything, not a single thing was moved. The items they took were only the items that were on top of my baskets. So thank you for only doing a piece of your job and wasting my time! I also want to note that any time I’ve sold to Plato’s, I was walked through the sign in process (not that it’s hard) and this time I was just given a quick run down by an employee that was doing something else and paying zero attention to if I had a question or not. Sad to say I will not be returning to this Plato’s...

Honestly can’t even believe this happened. I came here to have some time to myself & shop. I had a pretty big chunk of clothes to buy. As I’m in the dressing room, an employee ASKED ME & ONLY ME to get BACK IN THE DRESSING ROOM LINE. So she wanted me and me only, to get dressed, gather up my buy and do not buy, rehang them, & get out of my dressing room, just to get back in line & wait for another dressing room. And nobody else in any other dressing rooms were asked to get back in line. And because I guess I wasn’t fast enough, she bangs on my door saying she will call security if I’m not out in 5 minutes. Meanwhile I’m LITERALLY TRYING TO GATHER UP MY MESS AND GET FULLY DRESSED.

So I left everything as is and walked out. And the nerve of the girl on the way out to ask to see my receipt as if I was actually going to spend money now. I had every intentions and was actively trying on hundreds of dollars of clothes & for whatever reason I was singled out & rushed. It’s crazy to tell someone to get out the dressing room and wait in line. Absolutely absurd. No time limit signs were posted. And I was specifically singled out. Really disappointed because I wanted to buy the stuff and still do but not from people who embarrass me when I’m literally minding...
