Iâll start out with saying this place has historically been one of the best when it comes to customer service. The owner, Mr. Stevenson, is the best. Iâm confident that if I would have gone in when he was working I wouldnât have had a problem.
I went in on a Sunday to buy a 2-gallon sprayer. I bought the Ace brand and the cashier (an older lady) was very helpful and very sweet. I live less than ten minutes away. I got home, opened the sprayer, and was surprised there was literally no sprayer â only the 2-gallon container. I immediately headed back to the store to exchange. I grabbed a second one right at the register and hopped in line.
When I got up to the same cashier and told her what happened, she immediately became skeptical. I told her I didnât want a refund. I only wanted to exchange the sprayer-less sprayer for one with a sprayer. She kept trying to get the attention of a man working over by the washers but she was unsuccessful. She finally huffed and said, âI guess Iâll put it in as being faulty, but youâll need to sign thisâŚâ It was so odd. She acted like she was completely inconvenienced and like she didnât believe that no sprayer was in the box. The interaction was very off putting.    Read moreI love the store and have had many amazing experiences with employees. Henceforth the 2 stars. I did although find an encounter between a worker named Pam i believe was her name and another worker. I do not know the other workers name but the encounter was not impressive at all. I understand that employees bicker, but to do it in front of customers is unacceptable and sets a horrible image. While I do not believe what was done and said was right I always like to see the best in people. I feel like this can be a growing experience if the worker is new or not. I have been very impressed by many employees and their kindness but I believe there maybe be an issue with workers among themselves. I although was not impressed by the interaction Pam had with one of her coworkers. I have no follow up on this matter. I simply saw what I saw and decided to say something. Silly me, I thought that if sears had a hose on sale, and I went into a sears/ace, I could get the hose. Wrong. No, I got an âaceâ craftsmen hose. Same sku, same UPC. But most certainly not the same price. Leave it to sears to attempt to take down other retailers with their confusing sales. The person who helped the super nice cashier was a bit of a tool. I donât know what his problem was. Needless to say, after a while of this going back and forth, I wouldnât have bought the hose for $2 if it were offered. Itâs frustrating.
