Do not let the location and flashy buildings fool you; this is not a good apartment complex. I was looking for a place that had washer and dryer in the unit and was located around the Olive and 270 area. That's all I wanted, and that's all I got. The actual units are polished turds. If you get a renovated one, you might have a better experience, and rent will be over $1000 a month for a single bedroom unit. I have a half renovated one, and it's awful. The appliances are so old, my mother said she remembered them from she was a kid. Since I moved in 6 months ago, the dishwasher leaked, they replaced it with one from another unit that also stopped working. The washer also leaks. They can't find the problem with it, so I just have to clean up the water when I do laundry. The doors and windows are all so old that they don't latch properly. The latch on my sliding glass door to my patio snapped. Because of poor sealing, the panes between the glass get condensation in them on cold days. The heater makes the circuit breaker buzz like there's about to be a fire hazard. The fireplace mantle is glued to the wall... lopsided. It costs me about $200 a month to heat and cool the place. Which puts the
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst, do yourself a favor and look somewhere else. They will try to lure you in with the Creve Coeur location and garages but forget it. Secondly, get yourself a lawyer because most likely you are going to need one. I lived here almost 4 years every year the place goes down the hill more. I and my wife went thru 3 managements and it just got worse. Apartments are old and need upgrade very badly- everything is very outdated and in constant need of repair- from leaky faucets and windows to inefficient ac, peeling paint etc. Garages are not better since they are below ground level without any water protection and the water leaks in after every rain. Also the electric boxes on the garage ceiling are so rust that you ending up with brown greasy water on your car after every rain. Add constantly jamming garage door and you have an idea. Maintenance is basically non-existent and when they come in they really donāt know what they are doing and they always smell like an alcohol. And be ready for you neighbors- if you donāt believe me check building number 3 and vehicles outside- they let to move in almost everybody nowadays since so many long time resident fled. If you try not even to complain just simply report a problem you will get blamed for it and told that you complain too much. I had a problem with the neighbor who threw a party almost every night and for 2 months nothing was done. Then one day I got a letter from managerās office stating than I was a danger for safety and comfort of other residents and I have 5 days to get out- thatās why get yourself a good lawyer. After everything was settled down I had no apologies or anything. When it comes to management be watch for Sarah. She acts like she is the sweetest one and your best friend but she will be the first one to stab you in a back. Read carefully everything she gives you to sign and get everything on paper. And there is Utma who is so scared of everything and everybody that is one of the most useless persons in the office- she acts like she is scared of her own shadow. Avoid apartments near corporate units where people come and go very often and donāt care about you and the surrounding.
After 4 years we are ready to get into condo- after Waterford Downs experience where like they say ācomfort is our pledgeā I am done with them and want to be out on my own. Ā Ā Ā Read moreWaterford Downs is truly a place to call home. By far the best apartment I have ever lived. The apartment itself is very spacious and beautifully updated. Open concept with unique features. The design of the home utilizes all spaces to assure most value per square footage. I love the natural light from windows in common areas, and some units have 2 porches! The porch is a great value to the home. Itās the perfect size for gardening, enjoying lots of trees, and our favorite, grilling. BEAUTIFUL KITCHEN and recently remodeled with stainless steel appliances and tons of cabinet space. Tucked away is a washer and dryer is super convenient as well as the location. Apartment is walking distance to lots of business, restaurants and even the grocery stores. The grounds are always kept and maintenance is super prompt and effective. They salt the parking lot and access to underground garages, which are extremely convenient during the winter. There are sidewalks around the buildings with lots of pet waste areas where doggy waste bags are always stashed. My dog loves taking a walk to the clubhouse, mostly for the treats and loving staff. The clubhouse has so much to offer. Community events, A 24 hour fitness center to get in a good workout with lots of mirrors and standard fitness equipment as well as a sauna, an outdoor pool and fire pit, and indoor lounge with a pool table and fireplace. During office hours, there is access to a Starbucks coffee machine with freshly ground per cup coffee. Karen is who you need to talk to if you are interested, she is genuinely kind and very helpful as is all the staff at...
