Went in to activate an unlocked phone, was charged only to find out I had no active service.
Very long story short - Amanda (pictured) did not know how to handle getting this resolved. It so happened that a guy named Leon who I was informed was “back end” manager, came in and ALSO did not know how to handle the situation and advised Amanda to call staff at other stores to find out what to do. As she was doing this, too many red flags were coming up and I respectfully expressed my disappointment with the VERY straightforward process and asked Amanda to just cancel the activation. She went to process the cancellation and issue my refund l, only to find out that she does not have the ability to do that. So again, calls to other stores to get assistance, Leon by this time was gone, she called him and he was still of no assistance. Turned out that only Cricket CS can process refunds. I asked Amanda to give me the name and number of an actual manager that CAN help, she then got extremely defensive and told me to leave. This was SO BIZARRE! I thought I was being punked and Ashton Kutcher was going to be jumping out! But unfortunately this was NO JOKE! I encouraged her to call and that I would wait for them to get there because at that point my card had been charged and I had NO SERVICE! Cops came - they were understanding and also agreed that calling them was extreme but they had to respond. Throughout this whole ordeal, Amanda showed signs in her behavior that was very concerning considering she is front facing with customers. She seemed very mentally imbalanced, on edge and disconnected. Not sure how she passed an interview to work with the public but I guess businesses are desperate for help these days. I was finally able to get in touch with Kaylie who identified herself as the manager and I explained the entire situation and she apologized repeatedly, offered me a free charger for the trouble (that I declined), I stated I simply wanted my refund and she said she had a meeting the following Monday (4/21) and would bring this situation up and see how to get me my refund and I should expect a call from her on Tuesday (4/22) - I have not heard from her. I called her, left a VM and Text on 4/24 and still no response. I have called Cricket customer service and have NOT been able to get anyone to help with processing my refund. I will now file a formal complaint with corporate and the Sukar & Sons, Inc. who own this franchise. Be cautious when dealing with Amanda should you go...

First they advertise you can bring your own phone but when I switched they said my phone wasn't compatible so I purchased a new one. I later found out I could have used it. The new phone was not as nice combined with slower service was very frustrating. I also was not able to use wifi. The only wifi my phone worked on was my home wifi, I was forced to use my data everywhere else, so as you can imagine my data usage was 3-4x what I used on my previous carrier. Then my son uses the hot spot feature on his phone not realizing it wasn't included. I offered to add the service and pay for it but they shut his line off for violating the agreement, but of course they waited until after they took the next month service out. Of course I switched both lines to Metro and Cricket told me I was not eligible for a refund because we violated the agreement. I found the service to be cut rate and the company to be unethical.
