A few months ago, I learned about Moldavite through Tik Tok, and I was so excited to buy some. I called every rock shop in the area, hoping they had some in stock after many videos of the powers of Moldavite went viral on Tik Tok. Every shop within a 50-mile radius was sold out. I was so happy when I called this shop and the owner, Micheal, had some moldavite in his store.

Michael is so friendly and knowledgeable about all of the rocks in the shop. I bought some Moldavite, selenite, tourmaline, and meteorite, and he gave them to me for a great price!

All of the rocks are displayed so nicely. They even have a card above the rocks with the information on what they are frequently used for.

After having such a great experience there, I sent my sister up there for some Moldavite. Then my Mom and dad, then my brother, then a few of my friends. Now I sent anyone up there that is remotely interested in rocks.

This is easily the best rock shop I've ever visited. The selection of large pieces in the yard outside is amazing, and inside is such a huge variety of more elegant pieces. I just kept adding more and more to my basket, reasoning that at the end I would sort out whatever I didn't -really- want. I bought all of it. The prices are so low you can go absolutely crazy. My brother guessed my total would be $142 (which still seemed reasonable compared to other shops) and it was only $84. We ended up going from here to the rock store up the road (Ken's) and the selection is no where near as good and the guy working there seemed annoyed to have to do his job and just dumped the few items we bought in a bag with no protection. My wife and I have been building our collection of rocks, minerals, and fossils for over 25 years. We've been to dozens and dozens of dealers and have never encountered a business that was so accommodating, knowledgeable, and friendly. They are just genuinely good people with very high integrity. While we were in SD we visited many other rock shops and none were even remotely close to Dave's in terms of selection, price, and service. I'd seriously encourage you to spend the time you'd waste at other places on something else fun, and make Dave's your only stop. Since we were flying home we had limited space and weight so were were only able to pick up a small amethyst cathedral, a hunk of rose quartz, and some petrified wood.
