I visited Läderach in Cypress, TX today with my family around 3 PM and unfortunately had one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever encountered. From the moment we walked in, there was no greeting, no acknowledgment — instead, the woman working (a blonde employee) rolled her eyes and looked away.
Throughout our time in the store, she never once offered assistance, explained the chocolates, or made us feel welcome. When I finally asked a question about a certain type of chocolate, she simply pointed and said, “they’re down there.” That was the extent of her interaction with us.
As someone who owns a business myself, I know how important customer service is. This type of behavior is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the brand. My family and I went in ready to purchase several boxes of chocolate — including something special for my wife — but instead, we felt disrespected and unwelcome. Because of this, we left without buying anything and will take our business elsewhere.
I truly hope management reviews this situation (and even checks the cameras from that time) because no customer should feel ignored or dismissed in this way. It left us questioning whether others have experienced the same treatment.

Whenever i need chocolate for a gift Laderach is my go to. Recently I had an issue with the service I received at the store. However, Laderach's customer service is the best I have ever dealt with and as a nurse and a PA I deal with a lot of customers services. They were quick and kind and very polite. I got the pleasure of meeting with the store manager so I could try and explain what went on. After I had left, my faith was restored and I will continue to be a Laderach customer. The manager was so kind and apologetic, an absolute sweetheart and I could feel she was disappointed one of her staff had given me such bad service. This does not take away from the quality of the chocolate and as this was the first time I have ever had a bad experience (and I have shopped there a lot and still shop there regularly) I was willing to give it another go. They definitely made me feel a very valuable customer. For me to be a customer the customer service has to be as good as the product and Laderach definitely stood out as having high quality...
Read moreI recently purchased two boxes of the 72-piece chocolates, spending about $300 in total. While the chocolate itself is good, I was disappointed with the customer service.
When I returned to request bags so I could give them as gifts, I was told by the staff member, Mars, that they don’t have any bags and won’t be getting more for several weeks. I then asked if the items could be repackaged in a different box that fits the bags they do have, and she said that wasn’t possible either.
For the price you’re paying, I expected a higher level of service and flexibility. Presentation matters when you’re giving something as a gift. Sadly, I can’t recommend this place based on my experience. There are other chocolate shops that offer equally good products with far better...
