This place is a joke. Professors are all terrible, advisors make you take the wrong class which wasted my time and money, only to set me back from transferring out to receive higher education. Attending here has been the biggest regret of my life and I wish I could go back and choose somewhere else different. I’m pretty sure the good reviews are staff that are getting paid extra do so since that’s all that lone star cares about is the money, which is exactly what my English 1302 professor said on the first day of class. If I could give zero stars I would considering multiple professors have failed me due to the lack of professionalism and constant changing assignment due dates. They advertise that you can take two may minimesters all you have to do is email the dean and when I did she said I couldn’t because it was too last minute however when I emailed her she didn’t respond until a week later. By leaving a review will do nothing cause I’m sure there are ex convicts who teach here cause lonestar hires anyone off the street. I cannot wait to transfer out of this hell hole soon!!! Professor Leslie Jewkes of English 1302 has failed many students due to “plagiarism” including my boyfriend, even after running it through gramerly and saw no issues on plagiarism she continued to argue with him and was very nasty on email. I have no idea how this is acceptable for college, this woman emailed him after the course was over saying he failed leaving him nothing to do about it. He’s never had any issues with this class and his grade before she failed...

Worst experience with thier office. I applied to both Lone Star Community College and Sam Houston State University and was accepted to both. When I visited Lone Star to inquire about my financial aid, they assured me everything was fine, even though they knew I was also accepted at Sam Houston. They never informed me that being accepted for financial aid at one school would disqualify me from receiving it at the other. They advised me to pay over $1,000 out of pocket to avoid being dropped from my classes, with the promise of a refund once everything was sorted out. But after paying, they refused to give me the refund because I ended up going to Sam Houston. It wasn’t my fault—they failed to tell me that being accepted at Sam Houston would mean I couldn’t get financial aid at Lone Star.( they just told me that they don’t inform students about it and that i should have done my research) To make things worse, I just called to get help with the situation, and they told me they couldn’t do anything because it’s past the deadline for refunds for the classes I’m in right now. Their only solution was to tell me to drop my next class! The lack of transparency and willingness to help has been beyond frustrating. I’m now stuck with a huge out-of-pocket expense that could’ve been avoided if they had communicated properly from the beginning. Their lack of communication and support could cost you a lot more...

a greeting to Every student who will for the first time apply to lonestar: First of all be ready feel like a non wanted human being who wants to further his or her education but there's a bunch of people who are not willing to do their job to help you. Whenever u go u ll face attitude. Don't expect that you achieve what you want like every other community college in Texas in the first place, expect that everybody will send u to someone else in order to avoid their jobs. OMG like OMG The attitude is killing me. If someone in charge is reading my comment please I beg you to find a solution because it's not working what they're doing, I'm talking for every student who experienced a bad journey with them. I thought for a second to just give up and not apply anymore, knowing that I'm a VERY ORGANIZED AND PAY ATTENTION TO EVERY DETAILS. My registration took almost 9 weeks to be completed. If you scroll down you ll find a bunch of other negative comments which I agree with them ALL !!. employee at cyfair act like you're going to beg money from them, they even can't smile, are they unhappy with their job ???? I'm now afraid to call or even to go their because I have seen only attitude with zero...
