I usually don’t write reviews unless it’s EXTREMELY awful. I wouldn’t trust this place if I were you! My fiancé now husband bought me an engagement diamond+ring from Jason at Bova with a recommendation from his friend back in January 2022. After the proposal, we took the ring in to get it resized. That was the first time I met Jason and learned that my diamond was not GIA certified--it had a certificate from another company. I was a little skeptical then but what do I know. Not too long after that, I felt a chip on my diamond. We weren’t sure how it happened and what caused it, so we took it to Jason. He looked through the loupe and said he didn’t see a chip. But it was obvious to the naked eye and we could feel it with our fingernails. He didn’t want to admit the damage. I had to show him exactly where is, then he admitted that he saw the chip and he blamed me. He said I must have hit it on something. As far as I know, I don’t recall hitting anything with my ring, but fine, I’ll take the blame. At that point, I wasn’t happy with the ring and I didn't trust Jason. He’s not looking out for our best interests. Therefore, we had 3 options. One, make an insurance claim for damage. Two, sell it back to Bova at a much lower price than what we paid. Last, accept the damage and do nothing. I feel really bad for my fiancé because he picked out that diamond+ring for me with Jason’s recommendation, and we didn’t want to make insurance claim or lose money on the ring. So, Jason suggested we move the stone so the chip was hidden beneath a prong. We agreed and left the ring there. My fiancé went to pickup the ring, Jason told him that they couldn’t hide the chip underneath the prong because it will cause the chip to expand, so they just moved the chip closer to the prong. What the heck!?!? You should have just said that from the beginning or before you moved the diamond out of the setting. Now, the chip is not hidden and the diamond is looser. They didn’t place it back properly! At that point, we decided to take it to my friend who owns a jewelry store for second opinion. He said the stone was rated far less than what the certificate claimed and was worth less than we paid. He said it was such a low quality that he woudln't carry it in his store. We later got a third opinion from a gemologist, who said in his 30 years in the business, he had never heard of the company that issued the certificate on my diamond. He agreed with our "second opinion" that the certificate was fraudulent, that the stone was lower quality than advertised, and that we overpaid for the stone. He also said the setting was near worthless--it was badly proportioned, the metal appeared stressed, and the seams were...

I was in the market for an engagement ring and went to several jewelers and wholesalers around Fort Worth and Dallas. I found a few that produced great jewelry, but I wanted more than that. If you are going to make this purchase you want to be 100% confident in not only the diamond but the service you receive during, and after purchasing.
When I visited Bova, Jason provided 6 diamonds in budget, size, and clarity. I was happy with what I saw but continued to shop to find the best deal. As I looked at other shops I noticed many seemed to try to push you over your budget and sell you something you really did not have in mind.
I was honestly frustrated with the process and decided to take a break from looking all together.
A few days later only ONE jeweler called me back. It was Jason from Bova Diamonds. Not only was he following up with how my search was going , he had done some more searching himself within their expanded inventory and had a diamond that was same color, better clarity, slightly larger carat, and most importantly IN BUDGET!! If you know Jason you will know how excited he was and he encouraged me to come to the showroom asap.
Unfortunately, my schedule was very busy with work and traveling so I would not be able to make it to the showroom anytime within normal hours and I couldn't commit to purchasing without seeing it in person.
Jason went above and beyond to accommodated my schedule to meet and view the diamond even after the WTC had closed for normal business hours!
The quality of product, the follow up, the accommodation and respect of your time, and overall customer service completely exceeded my expectations and I knew I had found my jeweler.
These guys know their product, and know their customers better. I have since been back with my now fiance to purchase my wedding ring and begin designing her wedding band.
This often thought of one-time purchase has became a life time relationship because of Bova. I will not be going anywhere else for our diamond and...
Read moreThe diamond industry is not "user-friendly". From big box stores to your smaller whole sale operation, finding the right stone is nearly less important than finding the right relationship. As I searched for a high quality stone within my price range, I looked at 6 different whole sale locations and all of them gave me the same speech along with the same quality stones. Financially - the deals were average and the stones were always little below where I wanted to be. I almost resigned myself to accepting that my goals were not attainable within my budget. However, on happen stance I came to find Bova Diamonds.
Bova diamonds and their staff is a clean, well-run operation that values long-term relationships over the quick sale. This is not the diamond dealer you get one stone or piece of jewelry at. This is the diamond dealer you get your future wife's ring, then after year's of using them you tell your future son in law to start at Bova and try to find a better ring for your daughter.
Jason, the manager of the store, is fantastic. High quality individual with exceptional business acumen and resume to prove success outside of the industry. He knows the rock you are looking for and is not going to waste your time with jewels he would not buy for himself. Bova sources their stones internationally and spends time hand selecting their inventory. Jason gave me an incredible deal and followed it by saying "David - I am going to sell this to you at a discount. Not because I want to sell to you now, but because I want to sell to you and your friends for the future." Bottom line: the stone and mount I was sold was only 51% of the appraisal value. I have not met another shopper who has found a bargain like this in the diamond industry. The stone it self was rated colorless, no visible inclusions, triple XXX so it sparkled like a disco ball and all while being GIA certified.
Frankly, I was about to give up and settle for a lesser stone. I encourage you never to settle. And when it comes to jewelry selection, do not ever settle unless you have...
