We had a suite room. We went to Texas for a sneaker con. The outside of the hotel is nice, the inside is nice too. The staff were always professional and helpful. One thing that I did not like at the start of out vacation was that they have a full breakfast area but do not offer it. If I would have known that, I would have stayed somewhere else. The free breakfast is so easy and makes your day longer, you don't have to go get breakfast ya know. But you do here. Upon entering the room (106) with the key card, there is a mildew like smell that lasted the entire stay no matter what we sprayed. There is a micro bathroom to the left with a shower and a toilet and I do mean MICRO. The shower pressure is nice. They also offer their own shampoo, conditioner, and body wash (green tea). It smelt good and lathered up pretty good. The shower head was large which was nice. The bathroom is so dang small that you have to squeeze between the shower and the toilet just to shut the door. Pictures below. Also when you flush the toilet there is the most god awful screeching noise that will last until the tank is filled. It WILL wake whoever is sleeping FYI. To the left there is also a sink and counter top with a mirror. It's an ok size, for a suite I thought it would be bigger. Across from the sink is a closet to hang clothes with an ironing board. The room to the right as soon as you walk in is the bedroom. There is a flat screen tv on top of a long dresser. There's a sitting chair in the room as well with a tall lamp beside it. Two bedside tables and a king size bed. The bed was...ehhhh.... it was kind of firm. The bed also had urine stains on the mattress and what looked like blood from a past murder lmao. Pictures below. Air-conditioner in the room which was nice! We like it ice box cold! The bed had feather pillows. I absolutely hate hate hate feather pillows! They have no support what so ever! Walking straight from the front door you will enter the sitting room. It has a couch and ottoman, a flat screen TV, large table, a desk. A counter with a microwave, coffee maker, a mini fridge, air conditioner and lastly there is a full length mirror on the wall. This extra room was a nice addition. The only 3 issues I have with this room is that we found 2 earlier bugs in it. One picture is below. And that this room is so dim all day. You can open the blinds which give so much light but you don't have that option at night. The view from the sitting room was pretty. It was of the pool and outside area. You could also open the sliding glass doors to sit. 3rd issue was again the dang stank that stayed in the room. Thus hotel is so loud at night. I was woke up at 1 am and 4 am to yelling, running down the hall and what not. Another con about this hotel is the parking. Its 7 dollars a night which is not too bad but it's dang near impossible findng a parking spot and if you do it's going to be in a dark area that your scared to leave your car in. They have signs saying to lock your car door and take things inside. Just to enter the building you have to slide your key card! That is nice, that way randoms can't just walk in. Overall this was a good place but I probably won't stay again though due to the bathroom...
Read moreI had a mix up with reservations at a different hotel and had to choose this hotel last minute. It was easy to get a room quickly and I was thankful for that! At checking in, the woman told us breakfast was included with our stay, that we would need to call and order it in the morning, and we would get a call once it was ready. I thought that sounded great. I was staying with my daughter that wanted to be able to swim before we checked out the next day, so I planned our swim time after breakfast. Once it was morning and time to call down for breakfast, we were put on hold for approximately 7-10 minutes, so I assumed the front desk was busy, and that we should just go to the cafe to order. When we arrived to the cafe, we were informed we needed “meal tickets” after we placed our order. We did not know this, so the woman at the cafe went to check with the woman at the front desk. The front desk woman informed us that breakfast was not included with our stay, but that she could “fix” that to include one breakfast item. I told her my email confirming my room, included “breakfast for 2” under amenities. She asked me to show her, so I was pulling it up on my phone when she sighs and says we will take care of it and let you know when the order is ready. I thought this meant they would call our room once our food was ready, so we went back to the room to change into our swimsuits. We waited in the room for 45 minutes and had no phone call. I walked to the lobby and saw the cafe was very full so I asked the front desk woman if she had heard that our food was ready yet? She laughed and said “you have to go ask them!” And pointed to the cafe. We went to the cafe and waited, and once it was our turn we asked if room 119s food was ready. The man working said “yeah! It’s been ready!” And went to retrieve our items. Once he came back out, I let him know we were expecting a call to our room and we were not aware it was ready. He rolled his eyes as he put forks in our to go bags, even tho we wanted to eat in the lobby. I felt embarrassed that it was such an issue to get breakfast from these people with a lobby full of people, while my daughter and I are in our swimsuits, trying to plan time to swim before checkout. It was an awful experience over something that should have been very small.
Other than the service, the room and pool were nice. The room was very clean and bed was okay. The service really ruined the entire experience for us...
Read moreUnlike others who have reviewed this hotel, I found it to be very modern and my only main issues were with a slight lack of cleanliness, the location, and the refrigerators in the room. Some pros and cons from my recent two-night stay:||PROS:||- Lovely staff at check in||- Room was relatively clean, except for 4-5 hairs in the shower from a previous guest||- Large bathroom with a separate sink outside in a different section of the room||- Rooms were large and lighting was good||- Hotel was surprisingly quiet for being on a relatively main road||- The shower was hot and had excellent water pressure (but there was no body wash in the bottle on the wall)||- Super comfy beds — I slept great!||- Location — I was skeptical at first, as this hotel really isn’t near anything for the typical tourist, but I did take a Lyft into town one morning and then walked back to the hotel in just under 30 mins … it’s a very pleasant and quiet walk through the Dallas Design District!||CONS:||- My biggest disappointment during my stay was with the refrigerator, especially as I usually choose a hotel based on whether or not it has one. The fridges in the rooms here only stay on for two hours at a time (and you have to press a button on the inside to make it turn on) — which to me seems a bit stupid … I asked staff at reception about this when I checked in and they said that it would stay on all night … but all the food I put in the fridge overnight was warm and ruined by morning :( I mentioned to reception once again that my fridge was turning off every two hours — they said this definitely wasn’t normal and they’d get an engineer to come and look at it ASAP. I’m confident no-one ever looked at it whilst I was out, because it continued to turn off every two hours and my food was ruined again the following night :(||- They could definitely do with dusting the air vent in the bathroom!||- Even though I hadn’t yet checked out, cleaners knocked on my door at 8:15AM on the day of my departure. Thankfully, I was already up, but not everyone gets up this early… at 9.10AM they knocked again — and when I asked who was there, they didn’t respond. I am very confused about what sort of check-out system they have here? Quite annoying.||I probably wouldn’t stay here again, partly for the fridge and partly for the location — but otherwise it was a quiet,...
