I am HIGHLY DISGUSTED with the lying management, rude disrespectful front desk clerk Tayler, and the lazy disgraceful piss poor security guard Darrick at this location. They ALL NEED to be fired. After a 7 hour drive from west texas I called & made reservations to lodge her for the night. I made the reservation with my debit card. I arrived at the hotel and asked Tayler could I pay with cash(reason being the job I quit gave my last pay in the form of a check instead of my normal direct deposit. I cashed my chech as Chase and I wasn't able to go to my bank to deposit in time. I had money on my debit card but not enough to cover the room charge. I had several thousand dollars in cash on me). Tayler said I could pay in cash, therefore I did. Everything went smooth as butter. I get to my hotel room and i'm super exhausted. I wipe things down with my disinfect wipes before I decide to shower. About 10-15 minutes later there is a knock at my door, that was odd because I wasn't expecting anyone. I looked thru peep hole and see Tayler and the security guard. I opened the door and she informed me that I gave her a counterfeit $100. I'm standing there tired as heck and in shock. I stated to her that's not true and if it is I got it from Chase Bank. She claim she marked it and it turned brown(which there was no brown mark on the hundred, SHE LIED). I carry a counterfeit pen with me at ALL times because I shop thrift stores, yard sales, and I buy things in groups online. I carry to pen to mark money i'm given back to make sure i'm not given counterfeit money back. I mark ALL my hundreds in front of her and the security guard and NONE of them turned brown. Then the security guard said "i held it under a counterfeit bill light"(which I discovered was a LIED). He then said you can go across the parking lot and pay cash at the Days Inn. I remember standing there thinking I must be dreaming, there is no way this is happening to me. Tayler then stated, if you don't have another way to pay you can't stay here. So i'm fighting back tears and I grabbed all my luggage and bags and went to the front desk. I CALLED THE POLICE. The officer finally arrived and he tested ALL my hundreds and NONE of them were counterfeit. He looked at Tayler then looked at me and shook his head in disgrace. I'm standing in the lobby with tears im my eyes mad as the mad hatter. I started recording the situation, the security guard turned sideways to keep me from recording him. He never offered an apology, ge just stood there looking like a silly lazy lying fool. The officer asked Tayler would I be allowed to check in and she arrogantly stated 'I guess'. I got even more upset, you could have cracked a egg over my head and fried it. She gave me my room cards and her pride would not let her give me an apology. Talk about rude, unprofessional, and disgraceful. Early the next morning I talked the the manager and she apologized and said she was gonna put over 12,000 points on my account since she couldn't refund me because I paid with cash and not a card. She LIED, she never put the points on my account. Customer service finally called me a few days later and asked me what did I want to happen. I informed her given the horrible situation, false accusations against me, the unapologetic staff, me having to pack up my things and leave my room, my pain suffering and tears, plus me having to wait 1hr 30minutes.....40,000 points would be sufficient. She said she'd get back with me. She later emailed me and said she'd give me a free nightđ. A total slap in the face AND low blow to me. I will NEVER return to this Dallas, Texas location. I will be contacting corporate in regards to Folio Number: 63265 on July 15, 2019.
This is a late post because the representative stated it can take up to 10 days to get my points. After I repeatedly checked my points and saw they wasn't there, I followed up with...
Read moreI can not recommend anyone staying at this property in good conscience. My husband & I was going to DFW to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary. We had a full weekend planned of fun. I booked the Fairfield due to proximity to Medieval Times our first stop. First the really good things... Booking was easy online I booked a mobility tub room on the ground floor. Found the hotel easily with the directions provided. Went to check in and they didn't have the tub room it was sold out. Not a problem the helpful staff upgraded us to a suite still on lower level . The room was extremely nice & still accessible. Check in went smoothly too. We was delighted to have a clean, appeared safe, nice staff place to stay. Went to dinner got back late that night with a very heavy etched glass mug/Stein souvenir of MT full of Pepsi which I set my on the counter. Next morning breakfast was good. Omelettes, scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, and other items was very tasty. Everything was very clean. Staff was hospitable. We decided to stay another night & just make the hr long drive to ft worth stockyards on staff recommendations. In preparation for the day rinsed the Pepsi out of mug & set it in corner of sink counter. We left for the day. Now the bad...Next day packing up to come home no mug....ck suitcases, car, everywhere nothing. Go to front desk, he asks housekeeping they "did not take it," so where is it?? Nothing they can do we was told, but I'm going to look into the matter & get back with you. Call back Tuesday since I haven't heard anything talk to operations manager he said nothing in log, so not found, and he has no theifs working for him. Ok maybe you dont, or you do, or at least not an honest person if not a thief. Either they took my souvenir, broke it, or accidentally disposed of it, and aren't saying so to me that's dishonest. Accidents happen no biggie just say so when you know I'm looking for it. His response call DPD. Unacceptable response imo should say " I'll look at security tape see who accessed your room, or if we can see the mug in trash sack etc." I did tell him I would do a review as they requested ( I've got 3 emails asking me to do so)on all the travel sites he literally laughed. I'm sure a $16 missing mug is a big joke to him, but it sure put a damper on my 25th wedding anniversary trip, & it wasn't a joke to me. Whenever I think of my trip this is my first memory. I called corporate they said management would contact me that hasn't happened & it's been a week. Stay with caution dont leave anything in the room you dont want to lose...
Read moreI stayed one night at this facility and chose it because of good reviews online. The building is a little tricky to find, but once you figure it out, parking is convenient and plentiful. Lobby is large and well-appointed. The whole place seems recently refurbished and they've tried to give it a hip, contemporary look. My room was on the first floor but it was quiet. Only noise early on was from the Marriott nextdoor's outdoor pool, but they settled down at bedtime. The room was clean; No complaints there! Lots of lighting for readers. Room included a work desk, small fridge, coffee maker, iron, hair dryer, and alarm clock. Bathroom goodies were by Paul Mitchell, and towels were thick and soft. My complaints about the room are this: The one comfy chair is not-so-comfy. It was clearly chosen for looks and not comfort. The bed (I believe) is one of those memory foam types which was hard for me to get used to. Once you sink into it it's like being trapped in quicksand. There was an abundance of pillows, but they were also soft and squishy to the extreme. I did sleep well, however. Finally, the air conditioning unit was barely alive. It had a loud death-rattle and struggled to keep the room cool. My room stayed humid and on the warm side all night.
The one area that needs improvement is the front desk staff. I had a girl who gave more attention to everybody -- anybody! -- but me. In fact, twice I stood and waited for her attention while she griped to other staff and people who seemed to be her friends who had stopped by. She was also more attentive to the single guys than her job. She struggled with the computer and had to phone someone for help. She gave me the wrong directions to my room and acted like I was an idiot when I came back to the desk. Someone else in the lobby helped me. She was more interested in getting back to her conversation than she was in explaining the hotel's amenities to me. I asked if the bottled water sitting out was complimentary and she looked at me like I'd insulted her mama. I asked if the hotel had a hot tub and she shrugged and suggested the heated indoor pool. I had read online this hotel shares amenities with the Courtyard next door, but that was never mentioned to me. With so many people looking for jobs, certainly Marriott could find someone more competent and more appreciative...
