READ THIS BEFORE GOING TO JD ENGLISH FOR ANY REASON: JUNE 2024!!!!! - updated response from owner in JULY 2024

Dolores and Jeffrey told me they have been in this jewelry business for over 50 years. I initially went to WTC to repair my diamond ring and Dolores was kind enough to answer the phone and seemed to have good reviews online. When I walked into their store, it seemed to me that merchandise was outdated, cookies were stale, and the entire place seemed disorganized. With much hesitation, I decided to get my ring fixed with them. We discussed ring vs necklace option - but without notifying me, Dolores took apart the ring

Dolores lost my platinum band and refused to take responsibility. My platinum band was lost in their care, when I went to pick up the ring, their son Scott, who was watching the store told me that missing items happens rather frequently and that if not found maybe I can file with my insurance (this is illegal on both felony and fraud accounts) Dolores offered me about $50-150 to replace my platinum band (which I did not accept) I will end with what their son Scott English told me, “the children have been begging them to retire for years but they won’t retire. It is not uncommon for jewelry and items to go missing in this store.” Scott wrote a promissory note to me to restore me to whole with a platinum diamond band by agreed date (this never happened) - see below for signed written agreements

Jewelry business has always been luxurious. Getting beautiful things to celebrate special occasions such as engagement, birthdays, etc. I have dealt with many jewelers but never ONE as scary and Jeffery and Dolores. Go see for yourself and follow that gut feeling.

Below is a response from Dolores about missing my ring in their care. I dropped the ring off end of May, went to pick up June 13, and they asked I give them until June 21 to find the ring in their disorganized store and as of today, June 24, zero resolution or responsibility or ownership from JD English:

“1. We took the ring apart as I told you to see if the head would work as a necklace without flipping. As the ring was so swoosh it was not even discussed about making it into anything else. I have the price on the envelope as $630 not $680. I told Scott to charge you $600. I was hoping to be closer to $550 but my cost was more. My jeweler found parts of the ring that had the stones in it but not the whole shank. I can return that portion I have and pay you the difference of the lost portion of the platinum shank. You did not give me the wedding band portion of your set, only the engagement ring. I am so sorry there was such a misunderstanding about what to do with the top portion of your ring. The cost of your new ring was much more than the cost of the lost portions of your platinum ring. I can return the portions I have and deduct the cost of the portions missing. Platinum is $975 an ounce as of today which works out to be $30.95 a gram pure. If your missing portions came to 5 grams, that would be $154.76. Plus giving you back the portions I do have. UPDATE JULY 2024: This is a response from Jeffery English on July 12th asking for the remainder of the balance while still admitting that he lost my ring. They have produced many versions of things that did not happen and stated that they forwarded everything to their lawyer. PLEASE GO SEE IT FOR YOURSELF BUT REMEMBER HE WILL STILL ASK FOR THE MONEY EVEN THOUGH HE LOST YOUR JEWELRY.

We want to get finished with this mess. We have not been paid in full for the ring we made. We have Platinum to replace the lost Platinum. I am sorry for any misunderstanding. The balance of the ring we made is $300 plus sales tax of $49.50, bringing the total to $349.50. We have not deposited the first check for $300 yet, and we paid for the original labor and gold weeks ago. Please let us know when you both can take care of this. Thank...

How can I say enough wonderful things about this company! I got my wedding ring and my husbands from them and they did a fabulous job!!! I have a ring that looks like no other with the clearest sapphire I have ever seen and the diamonds set around the bands and the ring (I got three separate rings - two wedding bands on either side of my engagement ring) match perfectly. I went back to have the three rings put together, which was a quick and when I received it back it looked as pretty as the day my wonderful husband proposed to me with it...okay a little prettier because there is more "bling" with it now. Besides being quite unique, they make their own jewelry designs, they DO NOT price gouge and all their pieces are impeccable…

I have bought myself a watch there, had an issue with it, and they replaced it on the spot - no questions asked.

I purchased my custom engagement ring for my fiancé and numerous pearl necklaces, earrings and bracelets / mystic topaz necklace, with matching ring and earrings. I can honestly go on and on, but their level of quality and service keeps bringing me back.

If you don’t check their service and inventory out for yourselves, honestly I’m fine with that! More opportunity for me to buy one of a kind jewelry at an unbelievable price! Lol
