I would rate my experience as very poor. Two weeks ago I checked online with BCBS to verify this Provider was in-network. I then called BCBS to confirm. I called the Provider and made an appointment for 8/12, and gave them my insurance information. I received two automated calls during the past two weeks verifying my appointment. I arrived early on 8/12, and they had some kind of problem with my BCBS insurance. Rather than sort it out, they asked if I wanted to pay cash. It is unclear why they did not notify me about the problem with my BCBS insurance 24 hours ago. I had taken 2 hours off from work, and the level of professional competence shown at the front desk left me uncomfortable about the quality of care I would be receiving from this Provider. Horrible experience and I didn’t even get to make an appointment. My doctor sent referral twice and they said they never received it. I then called and talked with Deborah at the Plano location and gave her the authorization code from my doctor and she was extremely rude. She basically told me that’s not good enough and instead of reaching to my doctor she told me I’m SOL. 3rd time I spoke with her and she was rude each time. You can tell she doesn’t want to be there. I have been going to Dermatology Physicians of Dallas for 6 years. I was diagnosed with 2 melanoma's, (thanks to Elaina's thorough exam on my first appointment). I have been given the greatest care. The doctor's and staff at this office are wonderful. They are courteous, professional, caring and friendly.
