Gyro Rice and Spice — Restaurant in Dallas

I live around the corner from this place, and I am so glad it's here. I generally feel like this area lacks some high quality "fast" food. The space was previously occupied by Famiglia Pizza which we used to order from all the time. I was sad to see that place go, go but am very glad Gyro Rice and Spice took its place. There are many things to like about Gyro Rice & Spice. For starters, the menu is brief which makes choosing something pretty quick. Service is good and I've never had to wait long for my order. The spicy gyro wrap is amazing and paired with the feta fries, OMG. The portion sizes are really good too so you could easily split the wrap and fries which would also reduce your dining cost. The gyros are quality as is the baklava. I haven't had one of their bowls or salads yet, but I imagine they are also very good. I hope this place sticks around. I would hate to see it fade out like...

This place is absolutely amazing! On my first visit, I tried the chicken rice bowl, and on my second, I went for the spicy gyro wrap. Both were incredible, but the gyro wrap is hands down my favorite. I usually stick with chicken, but the gyro meat here is wonderfully seasoned and tender. The cheese is perfectly gooey and melted, and the veggies are chopped just the right size for a perfect bite every time.

The fries are an absolute must-have with any entree! They’re golden, crispy, and perfectly seasoned, and they pair so well with the house-made garlic sauce. You can truly taste the love and care that goes into their fresh ingredients and generous portions. Plus, the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall great experience.

Absolutely blown away by Gyro Rice and Spice! I tried the Smash Pita with Fries, and wow—it was a flavor explosion. The spiced smashed ground beef was seasoned to perfection, and the caramelized onions added a touch of sweetness that paired perfectly with the fresh lettuce and tomato. And that garlic sauce? Absolutely incredible. Creamy, rich, and packed with flavor—it tied everything together beautifully.

The fries were just as impressive. Perfectly crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and coated in their unique blend of spices that made them completely irresistible. You can tell a lot of thought goes into every detail of the food.

If you’re looking for something fresh, flavorful, and filling, the Smash Pita and Fries are a must-try. I’ll definitely be back to try more...
