The Cottage Grocery by Tres Market Foods — Local services in Dallas

Stopped in here a few of days ago and I'm so glad I did!! I grabbed a quick lunch for myself, I had their lunchbox with chicken salad on a cranberry walnut bread and it was delicious! I also grabbed a few things to take home for my family to try, I am a busy mom with 4 kiddos at home and I'm always looking for quick and delicious things to feed my kids on busy nights instead of fast food and Cottage Grocery did not disappoint.

I grabbed these items: Large meatball tray - these things were the first to get eaten by my kiddos, specifically my always hungry growing boys! They loved them. They just ate them warmed up by themselves, but my girls enjoyed them with pasta!

Chicken pot pie - This was delicious! I had this myself last night along with my family and loved it.

Enchilada casserole - Very flavorful! Me and my husband enjoyed it. Also kid approved, but only one of my kiddos had it!

Take home breakfast tacos - we thought these were so good and easy on a busy morning, we popped them in the air fryer for about 6 minutes and then ate with the salsa on top. I saw the other reviews complaining about these tacos, I personally did not have a bad experience and would totally...

I had really high hopes for this place and I know they are still figuring things out but here’s what I have to say.

Initially, when I walked up, I saw the new pet sign and immediately was turned off because we just came up off the Katy Trail just like a lot of other people with our dogs. Luckily, I had someone with me to hold my dog.

The line to order was very quick, but we waited over 30+ minutes for one single coffee. The barista situation looked like an absolute nightmare.

By 12pm they were out of all breakfast/hot food. Only had a chocolate muffin that was dry and disgusting. Lady at the checkout counter was very rude and not helpful. Told me there’s no ice for an iced coffee. She said “the only cold coffee drink you can get is cold brew from grab and go” Then I sat and watched them making EVERY coffee drink with ice. People who ordered before and long after me. Do not come here for breakfast / coffee. Might be decent for grab and go ONLY. Staff needs better training.
