As a customer who had never written a negative review before, I feel compelled to share my experience with uBreakiFix, which has been extremely disappointing. My ordeal began on January 4th, 2023, when I visited the store to have the charging port of my MacBook Pro repaired. I spoke with a staff member named Michael, who assured me that the necessary part would be ordered and arrive within 2-3 days, and that he would contact me once it was in. I paid half of the total $200 repair cost upfront.
Unfortunately, this was the start of a series of unfulfilled promises and miscommunications. Despite Michael's assurance, I received no update via call or email. A week later, I revisited the store and spoke with Michael, who apologized for not contacting me as promised. He took my laptop, claiming the part had arrived, and said the repair would be completed in no more than three days. Yet again, I received no communication about the status of my repair.
On January 18th, after receiving no updates, I returned to the store and spoke with a different technician. After a lengthy wait, I was informed that my laptop wasn't even at the store because they had ordered the wrong part and had to send it to Florida for repairs with Asurion. Repeated inquiries for a clearer update or a direct contact number were met with vague responses. The number I was eventually given turned out to be an automated line for cellphone service, offering no help.
Later that day, I went back to the store, where I finally received an email with a tracking number and a receipt. The tracking status, however, merely showed "repair on hold," leaving me in the dark about the actual progress of my repair. Contacting uBreakiFix's online chat service also proved futile, as they directed me back to the store I had already visited multiple times.
As a physician, I rely heavily on my laptop for my daily work. Trusting uBreakiFix with my repair has led to significant inconvenience, forcing me to purchase a new laptop due to the uncertainty and delays. This experience has been incredibly frustrating, characterized by poor communication, unmet promises, and a lack of accountability. I hope this feedback prompts uBreakiFix to improve their customer service and communication to prevent others from enduring a similar experience. As of today, I still haven't received any recent updates/ expectations regarding my...

I brought my phone into the Greenville location to have my screen replaced in February. They did the work and I brought my phone home. It costed me $321 because I have a âspecial screenâ. I later realized the power button was sticking and not working. I brought it back and they messed with the button a bit and it seemed to be working fine. 5 months later I accidentally exposed the phone to some water. The water got right into the phone. I could see the water in all of the cameras. I removed the sim card and vacuumed out all of the water I could, and then had warm air blowing directly into the ports for 36 hours. The phone still would not turn on. I brought it back and they said the battery would need to be replaced. I waited a few days and went back and found out the battery was never ordered. After the battery finally came in I brought my phone back and they said the phone was fried and could not be repaired. They never removed the bad battery when I first brought it in and it caused corrosion, frying the phone. They are supposed to have a 1 year warranty against parts and labor. Since they never fixed my phone correctly in the first place (they did not meet manufacturerâs IP68 specs for water rating) It should be covered under the warranty. We went back and forth and they finally told me they would not honor the warranty.
I then called the corporate office to get this resolved. The customer service was horrible. I was assigned a âcase managerâ who would not speak to me. I would call and leave messages and he never once called me back. We exchanged a few emails after which I was told they would not be replacing the phone or offering any type of reimbursement. This was 5 weeks later. I then called customer service again and asked for a supervisor. The person I spoke with said a supervisor was not available but would have one call me âif necessaryâ. I told him it was necessary since I was asking for one. No one ever called me back. I called every day for a week to speak to a supervisor. I spoke to the same person every time and the supervisor was always unavailable. I still have no phone and no one has ever...
Read moreI am so disappointed with this location, I brought my phone last week for a chipped glass repaired, two days later I have my repaired phone but now finger print was not responding. Brought it in again for repair and was told it was going to be fixed by next day. Called next day and was told that the finger print part needed to be ordered and that it will be delivered to them until this past Monday the 9th, called the store Tuesday morning and the tech scheduled me for Wednesday at 1pm for me to bring my phone and replace the part and was given an estimated repair time of 2-3 hrs. Called at 5:12pm because no one had given me a call for an update, and was told that my phone now needed a new motherboard because this and that but that that store did not have that part and I had to take it to another location for replacement, the tech said he was going to call other stores to see which one had the part and that heâd call me back in 20 mins, itâs 6:40pm and no call so I decided to call for an update, the tech told me that Grand Prairie store was the only one that had a motherboard for my phone. I told him I was going to come and pick up my phone today after 10pm, arrives at the store at 2pm and what a surprise THE STORE IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED UNTIL MONDAY NEXT WEEK. Dissatisfied and disappointed because itâs been two weeks without my phone and now I canât have it back for another week and I relay on it for work as I travel 1000+ miles away from the city on weekends. If I had known this wouldâve happened I wouldâve sent it for repair directly to Google, but I thought this was going to be much faster and I didnât have to wait longer than Googles estimated...
