It's great to see the staff's efforts in improving the restaurant since my last visit. The prompt greeting and offering of a clean table in a tidy dining room were a good start. The waitress's courteous manner and patience in taking my order without rushing me were also appreciated. However, I was concerned when she didn't write down my modifications to the menu item.
Fortunately, the food came out exactly as I had specified, and the quality was good. Although the poached eggs were slightly overcooked, the overall execution was impressive. Despite these positives, the management can continue to improve.
First, I noticed what seemed to be a manager in the restaurant. Still, he didn't visit the guests even though only two tables were occupied. This was a missed opportunity to address any concerns guests may have had.
Additionally, I observed my server eating in a corner booth during my meal. When my server returned her plate and came out of the kitchen, she was still chewing when she approached my table to perform the final check. This made me uncomfortable and raised questions about hygiene practices.
Overall, my experience was positive, and with a few adjustments, this restaurant has the potential to become one of the best IHOPs in the area.
When visiting IHOP, it's important to manage your expectations. It's known that much of the food is frozen and "heat 'n eat" to maintain consistency. Despite this, it's reasonable to expect average service at the very least.
It would be great if IHOP pushed their servers to deliver above average or exceptional service to set themselves apart from other diners. Unfortunately, this particular location falls short in this regard.
During my visit, I spent 47 minutes in the restaurant without getting a water refill even once. Additionally, my unfinished food was not cleared from the table. Given that I was the only table in the restaurant at the time, these issues were unjustified.
My server only visited the table a total of four times during the entire visit: once to take my order, once to deliver the food (without refilling the water), once to "check on me" (still no refill) and once to deliver the bill. In each interaction, I felt that my presence was an annoyance to the server.
Throughout my visit, I never saw any manager or leader present. It's clear that this location desperately needs better oversight, as it's currently falling short of even basic expectations. To top it off, as I left the restaurant, a staff member sweeping the floor made no attempt to acknowledge me. This lack of acknowledgement summed up my...

Read moreMost IHop’s aren’t necessarily 5 star service restaurants, and I had pretty low expectations in the first place, but to combat an already inconveniently long wait time I called and placed an order over the phone on my way to work. There were already subtle signs that I would soon face disappointment and a morning with no breakfast; for example, when they took my name, they cut me off in the middle of spelling it which should have clued me in that they probably weren’t even writing it down or actually putting in the order. She told me about 10 minutes and when I finally arrived after 20, (alotting extra time for preparation) I gave the woman there my name and without missing a beat she told me it wasn’t ready. I’m sure they hadn’t even known about the order when I arrived, but I was never asked another question about it. I sat there for about 15 minutes before I felt dumb and annoyed enough to get up and leave while I still had my money and a few minutes to get to work on time. For clarity, I am not an impatient or outwardly rude patron (AKA a Karen). I actually am quite passive when it comes to the service industry because I know those jobs cannot be easy at all. I’m just saying, I really wish there would not have been such a disconnect in this order and I wouldn’t be in such a hangry position I am now. Other than that, I typically love IHop— just the ones closer to where I frequent, I guess.. Needless to say, don’t place orders over the phone or when you have anywhere to be...
