I ordered a plate with chicken, veggies, and two sides of rice instead of one side of rice and a second side of macaroni and cheese. The rice was amazing and so satisfying. It wasn’t too dry or hard. It had a wonderful texture and consistency. I wasn’t in the mood for macaroni and cheese, which is the standard option here. I was so happy to switch it out for more rice. The chicken was cooked well and had good flavor. Instead of just chicken, I got half chicken and half veggies. I was so happy with my order. For a fast food restaurant, I was surprised and satisfied. I would eat here again and try more items on the menu, including mac-and-cheese. They have good hours and a decent location. Parking is on the light side from what I could see. I didn’t drive around the building, though. They also have a drive-through. When you walk through the side door from the parking lot, the restaurant layout is a little different. They have self-order computer kiosks that are very efficient. I did prefer having a staff member step in to take my order for the first time. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The placement of the brand items to purchase was a little strange at first. I can see why they put it there. I think the owners/corporate headquarters should look into restaurant design a bit more. There are still a few kinks that need to be worked out overall with architects, interior designers, etc. They should include designers and employees in the discussion when creating the next round of restaurant layout. It’s not bad the way it is, it could definitely be improved in other words. Eat here! The food is good quality and worth the drive. It seemed like people were starting to catch on to the quality here. When I was picking up my order is was steadily busy and the parking lot stayed full. I didn’t have to wait too long for my order. If I lived in the area, I would want to eat here at least...
Read moreExcellent as always! I’ve been/placed delivery orders from here over 28 times now so I thought it was a good time to write a review. Haha!
The food is always incredible and fresh whether if you order it to go/online/or through a delivery service. I highly recommend the Hulu chicken and molokai chicken mixed plate as you get the best of both worlds sweet/small spicy kick. While you’re at it, add some pineapple 🍍 and maybe even some dole soft serve 🍦 (highly recommend). If you are a sucker for passion fruit like me, I’d also order that as your drink. It is from concentrate but quite tasty.
Now on to service and atmosphere. Well, you feel the aloha spirit from the moment you walk in the door (on arrive at the drive thru) until your last interaction as you leave. It’s truly a very welcoming place and unlike any other fast casual restaurant in Dallas due to this alone.
Why did I write this review today finally? Well, after so many orders I obviously like this place but for the first time ever, there was a mistake in my delivery order (incredible right!?). Mistakes happen and that’s fine but it’s how a restaurant responds to that which is important. I called the order and let them know that my passion fruit drink and my pineapple skewer were missing from my order. Really not asking for anything but to let them know as like I said, they don’t ever seem to make mistakes. The manager apologized right away and asked me to come back to the store last night or today and they’d remake the entire order for me for free. Wow! What a response and so very kind of them.
They’ve obviously earned my business and that of my families but even more so now, they’ve earned a stellar review. I hope everyone reads this and knows that this fast casual concept actually cares about their clients (and they didn’t even know I’ve been ordering here since they opened).
Highly recommend! What are you...
Read moreOkay, okay, so here’s the deal. I went to Hawaiian Bros expecting a casual meal. Just me, some chicken, and probably forgetting to grab napkins like I always do. But then… Esperanza happened.
I’m not saying she’s magic, but I’m also not not saying she’s magic. The way she said “Aloha! Welcome to Hawaiian Bros!” hit me like a spiritual awakening. I blinked twice. Was this customer service… or was this destiny in a branded polo shirt?
I was so overwhelmed by her confident order-taking that I said “yes” when she asked if I wanted a regular or large. She didn’t even ask yes or no, but I panicked. She smiled anyway. The kindness? The patience? Olympic level.
I fumbled my card and dropped it. She picked it up and said, “You’re good!” I whispered, “Not really,” and then laughed too loud and tried to cover it with a cough. Everyone heard. I have no regrets.
When I sat down to eat, I swear the chicken tasted better because Esperanza handed it to me. Like her presence somehow marinated it with positive energy. I took a bite and immediately texted three people, “Bro.”
I also accidentally said “thank you” three times on my way out. Once when she said “have a good day,” again when I walked past the drink station, and a third time to the door. The door didn’t respond. Esperanza did—with another smile. I haven’t emotionally recovered.
Final thoughts: • Food: immaculate • Vibes: elevated • Esperanza: might be the chosen customer service prophet we don’t deserve but absolutely need
I would eat a bowl of that mac salad with a single spork on a mountain top if she told me it was the way.
